⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A little piece of Kerala right here in Chennai! 🌴🥥 Some restaurants serve food. Some create an experience. Oru Kerala Story gave us both. The moment we stepped in, it genuinely felt like we had been transported to Kerala. There was no air conditioning, but surprisingly it never felt uncomfortable. The place was naturally pleasant, with a calm atmosphere, soothing Malayalam songs playing in the background, and beautiful Kerala-inspired interiors. It wasn't noisy or crowded—just the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful dinner with family or friends. Now, coming to the best part... the food! 🥥 Thenga Maanga Chemmeen – Without a doubt, this became my personal favourite. The combination of fresh coconut, raw mango and prawns was absolutely delicious. Every bite was bursting with authentic Kerala flavours. 🥩 Chayakada Beef Fry – This was so good that we actually ordered it again! Tender beef coated in perfectly balanced spices with that beautiful Kerala-style flavour. Definitely a must-try. 🥦 Gobi 65 – Crispy, tasty and well prepared. We enjoyed it, but honestly it didn't feel particularly Kerala-special. It tasted quite similar to the Gobi 65 we usually get in Chennai. 🍛 Malabar Beef Biriyani – The moment it arrived at our table, the aroma itself made us smile. Made with Seeraga Samba rice, it was fragrant, flavourful and comforting without being overly spicy. 🍗 Syrian Kozhi Mappas – If I ever visit again, this will definitely be on my table. Since I personally enjoy mildly spiced food, this creamy coconut milk curry was absolutely perfect for me. It paired beautifully with their soft, fluffy Kallu Appam, making every bite heavenly. If you're someone who prefers fiery spicy food, this may feel mild—but for people like me, it's simply perfect. 🥖 Malabar Parotta & Nool Parotta with Nadan Beef Curry – Honestly, who visits an authentic Kerala restaurant and skips the iconic Parotta + Beef combo? Of course we had to try it! And as expected... it was an absolute hit. Soft, flaky parottas with rich, flavourful beef curry—classic comfort food at its best. 🐟 Halfway through our meal, we suddenly realized... "Wait... we're at a Kerala restaurant and we haven't tried any fish!" 😄 So we went back to the menu and picked the Ayala Tawa Fry from their Signature Seafood section. Another excellent choice! Fresh, extremely spicy🥵, well-marinated and beautifully cooked. 🍮 Finally came the desserts... They only had two desserts, so naturally we ordered both. 🥣 Parippu Pradhaman – Rich, traditional and comforting. I've had good Pradhaman before, and this one definitely lived up to my expectations. 🥥 Elaneer Pudding – Now this deserves a paragraph of its own. I have a huge sweet tooth and I never miss trying desserts wherever I go. So when I say this, I truly mean it. This is hands down the BEST Elaneer Pudding I've ever had in my life. It was unbelievably smooth, light and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet. Even after it melted in my mouth, the fresh tender coconut flavour lingered gently at the back of my tongue. That lingering freshness left me completely speechless. It wasn't just a dessert—it was an experience I'll remember for a long time. What made our visit even more special was their hospitality. Every staff member was attentive, warm and genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable. That kind of service creates an emotional connection with customers. By the end of the dinner, we didn't feel like guests—we felt at home. If you're looking for flashy fine dining, this may not be it. But if you're looking for authentic Kerala flavours, peaceful ambience, heartfelt hospitality, soulful Malayalam music, and food made with love, then this place deserves a visit. Some restaurants satisfy your hunger. Oru Kerala Story satisfies your heart. ❤️🌴 Highly recommended. I'll definitely be coming back—not just for the food, but especially for that unforgettable Elaneer Pudding! 🥥✨

Very nice place for good Kerala Food. We went for Lunch where the options were limited but the food was tasty. We had Chatti Choru, Fish Curry Meals, Kochuilly Beef and Prawn Fry. Food was really tasty. If you want more variety you need to go for Dinner where the items on offer are more.

Got seated at 3.20 pm and placed order for one biriyani for my kid which got served within in 10 mins. But for myself and wife we ordered for one bowl of white rice and fish curry which almost took them close to 1 hour to serve. By the time the white rice bowl came it was already 4.10 pm and the fish curry came post another 15 mins and it tasted blunt with no spice at all. We had to return that. We also placed order for one Nei Meen fry for ourselves and Fried chicken for my daughter. The fried chicken came around post when the white rice bowl was served and the nei meen was not even considered as an ordered. We had to return the chicken since it was placed as a side order for my daughter and she completed her lunch by the time it came. Finally the nei meen fry came in around 4.45pm and that was the worst fry of all. It was marinated but they spoiled it by applying rava powder on it before frying. Top of it there is no spice or salt in that fry. When checked on the same i was told the instruction from the restaurant manager to the chef was not to use the rava, but he still kept using it every time. On a whole the New Year lunch I planned with my family ended up in a total disappointment.

hi I saw the insta review and went all the way from anna nagar .... had fresh lime soda ... it was great ... then had cheesy prawns ... it was fine ... but the quantity was so less for 285... hardly 5 pieces... they could have increased the quantity by increasing price ... meals was pathetic... you wount find fish smaller than that ... rice was cold... we also had parotta and beef... parotta was excellent ... biriyani was okay... just average.... my suggestion.... dont believe their insta story ..... not worth driving to go there ... you will find better kerala restaurants
