A great spot in Besant Nagar with a lovely beach view. The place is huge with both indoor and outdoor seating, but thanks to the Chennai weather we decided to sit inside 😅 We ordered the mutton biryani, mutton starters, nool parotta, naatu kozhi Chettinad gravy and Kavuni Arisi Halwa. The mutton biryani was honestly one of the best I’ve had. The portion can easily work for two if you have a small appetite, otherwise it’s perfect for one. We also tried their modernised rose milk which was okay-ish, felt pretty similar to a regular one. The iced degree kaapi had a huge ice cube, which made it look like there was more coffee than there actually was. It had less caffeine kick to it. Overall, the food was really good, and I’d definitely go back again for it. But the service was quite slow. I understand food taking 10 - 15 minutes, but waiting 15 minutes just to get the bill felt a bit too long. If they improve the service speed, the experience would be much better. For everything we ordered, the bill came to around ₹2.7k, but with a Zomato discount we paid about ₹2.2k, which honestly felt worth it 😊

The food options are extensive yet they cannot be modified to suit the palate of the customer much. There was also a strong draft of the AC that was bothering all of us. the view of the beach is nice and food is tasty along with decent service. all the staff were helpful as much as they could.

While their food is good, their service is all over the place. They have several dishes that are listed both in the vegetarian and non vegetarian category. Their waiters lack the courtesy to confirm if the order you have placed is veg or non vegetarian category. They don’t take your order completely and will end up gaslighting the customers that they never ordered the food. They don’t have it in them to confirm the order placed after taking the order. Overall it is a disappointing first experience. This is not the kinda service that you can expect from a fine dining restaurant.

The food was good, but the waiting time is way too high that we lost interest in food. We spent 1 hour 45 minutes for lunch.

High expectations, but a lackluster Valentine’s date "We visited for a pre-Valentine’s lunch date with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. Most of the dishes were incredibly average and lacked the 'wow' factor we expected for the price. The only saving grace was the dessert—the Filter Coffee Custard and Gulkand Pudding were decent, but they couldn't save an otherwise disappointing meal. Not the special experience we were looking for."

Me n friends went there last Friday. I wanted to go there with my family on Sunday. We have 7 months baby. So We were late ! So called the restaurant prior to ask if they can take order at 10:20Pm (last order 10:15) but manger was like you can come ma’am but our last order is 10:15. We kept on pleading if he can take order by 10:20. But he refused. It’s completely disappointing when they can’t give special priorities for the new mothers. Very poor hospitality!
