✨ Amazing food. Amazing service. Just amazing! ✨ Sunday morning breakfast here was a treat! We started with a couple of Sambar Vadas—they were soft, moist, and hands down the best I’ve had in Chennai. 😍 Alongside, we ordered a Ghee Roast and Ghee Pongal. The Pongal especially was a standout—absolutely W🤩W! The total bill didn’t even cross 300 bucks. Totally worth every penny! 💯 The only downside: car parking can be tricky, so park at your own risk. 🚗

Went to this place after a long time wait to taste the very greatly said stuff about the place which is their sambar....Who ever who knows about Chennai will say Ratna Cafe Sambar is the best...I also heard this thing and wanted to try it but couldn't go several times and I finally accomplished....Their service was too good have never seen such great service in the past few months...In ordered Sambar Idli and Ghee Masala Dosa....Sambar Idli was very soft and moderately hot....Their ghee masala dosa doesn't even require any sides...It's too good...Now about the most greatly spoken sambar....It consist of Small onions and dal and it was grinded with coconut to give a special taste....It was one of the best sambar I ever had...But I would have told it's the only one if it had been more hot...Ratna Cafe Sambar is GOAT

Ratna cafe mylapore is a popular name for authentic south Indian Tiffin. It's very close to the kapaleeshwarar temple. I had Spl dosa, Ghee podi idly and mini coffee. The dosa was barely hot. The sides were good. The ghee podi idly was amazing but the price was exorbitant! It was priced at 75 bucks excluding GST. There's nothing special about the ambience or portion size to justify this. That's the only point why I'm giving 3 on 5. The coffee was decent. The staff were busy but courteous when interacted. Overall I wouldn't consider this as a go-to spot for Tiffin, purely on basis of the rates.

The place is located next to Kapaleeshwar temple and quite famous in locality. The parking will always be a issue due to busy street of temple . The staff was quick to take order and serve the same. This place is for aunthentic south Indian tiffen items and good for snacking or breakfast. The food is good but can be much better . The place is pocket friendly and they have branches all over Chennai and if i m not wrong the Triplicane branch being their oldest and comes under legendary outlets . Over all its a good place to try some South Indian delicacies

Not as good as Triplicane! I would like to give a quick review.  Quality : 3/5 Quantity: 4/5 Sufficient.  Taste: 2/5, Flavours are blatant and subtle.  Cost: 3/5, Really not worth it !!! Ambiance and serving : 4/5.  The food lacked the punch. Sambar had very less flavour.  Overall: A decent one, and i wouldn't recommend. Triplicane branch is worth the money.  Adding pictures,  Regards, Sairam.

To say i paid 1000 rs for the sample of sides for 12 sets of idli, parotta and 2 sets of pooris is a joke on Ratnas earlier avatar. We used to have leftover sambar for a simple order of idlis not very long ago. Lost all respect for this brand

The food was too expensive. Sambar was too watery = masala water without salt. There was only one coconut chutney which was not in a very good consistency and taste where in other restaurants they are giving maximum 3 and minimum 2 chutneys at very reasonable price. Paying Rs. 158 for two plates of idli was very unfair. The staff was very sarcastic when we complained about the food. We visited for its fame, and we are very disappointed to visit now. Paying more for such tasteless food is disheartened. Also, train the staff on how to behave with the customers politely without any sarcasm unnecessarily.

Visited Ratna cafe, Mylapore this evening and was very disappointed for the tasteless food and staff manners. Paying Rs. 75 for one plate of idli was too expensive where they provided only one variety of chutney and some masala watery sambar. There are other famous restaurants who is giving 2+ varieties of chutneys at a reasonable price. And coming to the staff's mannerism which was not fair. Food and Service could have been way better.

My order number is 14506. They didn’t send one filter coffee that I had ordered. My delivery person said that he doesn’t know about that and there is no phone number available. Would like to have my money back for the coffee. Thank you
