Sangamithirai is a restaurant located in Feathers Hotel serving Native Thamizh Cuisine using Traditional Recipes with Wood pressed oil, Hand pounded masalas, Desi curd and Ghee. Murungai Keerai Rasam: Soup made with drumstick leaves and lentil. Tasted good. Vellaattu Nenjelumbu Rasam: Broth simmered with bone-in mutton pieces. Tasted rich and very good. Madras Sundal: Boiled white peas, tempered with onions, mango, chilli and grated coconut. Tasted very good with authentic local style. Kaadai Muttai Kalavai: Boiled Quail eggs tossed with onions, carrots, chilli pepper and lemon dressing. Tasted very good. Uppu Urundai: Steamed rice dumplings flavored with seasonings and coconut. Tasted good Murungai Kallu Vadai: Pan fried vadai made with drumstick pulp, drumstick leaves and ground bengal gram. Crispy and tasted good. Nattu Kozhi Gundu Milagai Uppu Kari: Stir fried country chicken with round chillies, shallots and garlic. Tasted spicy and extremely good. Vaigai Vellaattu Nei Chukka: Mutton cubes cooked in ghee. Mutton cooked perfectly, spicy and tasted extremely good. Karandi Omelette: Omelette cooked in a deep iron ladle with onions, fresh coriander and green chilli. Tasted good and very filling. Ammaachi Kari Dosai: Rice and lentil batter topped with spicy mutton mince filling. Tasted good and very filling. Paasipayiru Elangu: Boiled green moong dal cooked to a thin consistency. Tasted good. Mathuthu Keerai Kadaiyal: Steamed mixed native greens mashed with lentils in a traditional way using a muddler. Tasted good. Vellai Idiyappam: Steamed string hopper made with rice flour and coconut oil. Cooked correctly. Mansatti Viraal Meen Kuzhambu: Tangy curry made with fresh water fish, cooked in a clay pot with shallots, fenugreek and tomato, preserved and served the next day. Tasted spicy and very good. Vaankozhi Briyani: Seeraga Sambha rice cooked with turkey over an open fire in a pot. Meat was soft anf biriyani tasted very good. Karuppu Kavuni Halwa: Constant stirring of mashed black rice in coconut with ghee. Tasted very good with mild sweetness.

You get to taste the specially curated Veg/Non-Veg dishes by America Natesan from Nedungudi. What did I have? 1) Welcome Drink 2) Kara Nattu Kozhi Charu(Soup) Salad: 1) Paal Sura Puttu Starters: 1) Vellattu Keema Kola Urundai 2) Chinna Vangayam Karunkozhi Uppukari 3) Pachai Milagai Poondu Eraal Main Course: 1) Nattu Kozhi Zameen Kuzhambu 2) Vayal Nandu Aracha Masala 3) Vellattu Elumbu Paruppu Kuzhambu 4) Rosa Poo Rasam 5) Varutha Thengai Poo Thalicha Thayyir 6) White Rice 7) Vellattu Biryani with Raita 8) Cholan Kari Dosa & 9) Parotta Desserts: 1) Dum Ka Root 2) Kuruvai Arisi Appam & 3) Sappota Payasam Finally, ended with a premium betel leaf beeda. I@must say it is worth your time and money. Perfect for family/friends/colleague get together. You will love each and every dish as they were prepared with care and perfection. Had gone there for dinner last evening. The place is awesome- the food, the experience and the service. The concept of a set menu for Tamil Nadu cuisine is new and unique. The staff explain it very well. I would urge everyone to try this place. They could do with more publicity.

realy this restaurant is very good in mordendays most of the peoples select only the BBQ and cinees foods continental foods but this resturant is realy difernt I like this South Indian dishes are very good and very taste hospitality and service is very good
