The experience was awesome..Different varieties of food and the taste was ultimate. Service also was top notch. Very traditional feeling ambience. Light carnatic music.. Overall a very good feel and had a very tasty food after long time.

Extremely over rated. Giving 3 star only for the service and ambience which was really good. Ordered some Chettinad gravy mutton and paneer dishes which was 90% gravy and we had to hunt for the pieces. The drumstick soup, rose milk, fresh orange juice and halwa were a saving grace. But the main course was a huge huge disappointment.

We had ordered veg and non veg thali, and 2 kinds of chicken biriyani, kozli chatti biriyani and keeranur biriyani. The meals had a variety of dishes but all at a very confusingly low quantity. The bowls were big but barely filled 20% of the container. The thali was priced very high for the taste and the quantity provided. Initially I had convinced myself that it was to avoid wasting food. But I was thoroughly disturbed when the waiter denied the extra bowl of veggies I had asked for. He then stated that it was "limited". A thali that a customer (me) has paid more than 1000 rupees being "limited" is criminally bad. Both the biriyanis were impressively bland and tasteless. What confirmed my suspicion of this restaurant being a scam was the marvelous "keeranur biriyani". And I am a local from pudukotai and keeranur, I can confirm that keeranur is not a famous biriyani place. They could have chosen dindugal, ambur or others. They clearly chose a niche little-known fancy name to place in the menu to stand out. Overall the food was unapologetically average. The price was violently abusive. The quantity was emotionally traumatic. I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this place. And I would never visit this place again.

Food was sub par, way too much hype. The meals was very costly yet limited, asking for another cup of any sidedish was quickly denied by the staff. The biriyani was obnoxiously bland and tasteless. Ambience was good, beyond which nothing justifies a second visit.

Had the thali. it was underwhelming. local restaurants here in Chennai serve better fare
