Nice spread for dinner buffet. Star of the show was Mutton Nihari, with generous sized pieces in succulent gravy. Starters and desserts were nice too. Decently price at 2000/- + taxes per plate, children at half price, small children eat free.

My husband had surprised me for my birthday at Taj Fisherman's Cove. So he took me there at around 4 in the evening on Saturday, we checked in. We went around the property for a walk and they had a lot of activities for kids and some live counter snacks for all the guests. They served some bondas, coffee/tea and juice. It was good. We went down to Seagull for dinner at around 8, and had opted for buffet. There were almost 5 to 6 varieties of salads in veg, but just a few limited starters and the mains were the usual roti sabji, biriyani and chinese rice and vegetables in sauce. There were around 7 varities of desserts, everything was good, but the spread was very normal. Next morning we went down for our breakfast, and to our surprise the spread was huge. Different types of breads, some were stale and hard rest all good. Almost 5 different varities of cereals, I was on cloud nine, loved the variety at breakfast in Fisherman's cove. And then the south indian items like pongal, idly and north inidan items like dhokla, gobi paratha etc. We took one infused idly, which was nothing but idly with a little podi on top of it. It was not all that great, the idly tasted bad. A good range of yoghurts in 4 different flavours and a variety of type of milk was available. Live counters for dosa, omelette and all were available as well. A must visit place for breakfast, something apart from the usuals with a lovely spread. The colours, ambience and hospitality is commendable.

Though the restaurant stuns us with its ambience, it disappoints us with the food. Firstly there weren't much options for starters. That too if you are a non vegetarian, there is absolutely nothing much. We expected some options in seafood, but all they had was undercooked tandoori prawns, crab something and malai chicken tikke which was okayish. For the price you pay, there can be plenty of options. Main course was also no up to the mark> They just had biriyani. If you are looking for pastas or pizzas which is usually provided in live counters, these ppl don't have. Also, there were just 5 color gravies of chicken and one seafood gravy, and nothing else. At last the only satisfaction was the desserts, especially their Tiramisu. It was top-notch. Overall if you want to enjoy the five-star experience, you can definitely head over here. But if you have some expectations with food, this can disappoint you.

When you go into a restaurant you except service along with food. I have no complaints about the food, it was good. But the service - a lot needs to be said about it. When I entered, I was asked if I was staying in the premises. When I said No, I was given looks as if I had made a big mistake. Then asking for water. I was there in the restaurant for an hour and had to ask multiple times for water and was served just once. Then when it came to cleaning up soiled dishes, that also was lacking. I had posted pictures of stacked up soiled dishes. If the food had not made up, I would have rated it a 1 or 2.

we are from Mumbai and had been to Chennai at a relatives place we had booked a table for 5 plus an infant. but on arrival the person in charge said we don't have ur name in the list. i requested for a sofa seat as we had a baby , he told us that he had 300 plus guests and will try to accommodate us he gave us the sofa seat which was at corner end of the restaurant and was not even lot properly it was dingy . we where there for two n half hrs and all the tables were empty but they allotted us the corner. table. the spread was not what taj usually provides. there was no live counters . nothing like a five star. we waited for 15 min for the naan order , on asking why was it taking so long they said that the chef's are very slow. total waste of money and time . never coming back . pls update ur service and don't let a legendary taj name go down .

I happened to visit the restaurant couple of days back (March 02, 2021). I have always been a fan of Fish cove food which never fails to disappoint and it did not disappoint me this time either. But the fact that the service / attitude of the staff who handled us was strictly NOT acceptable and definitely not at ‘Vivanta’ standards. Rather, it was something like a normal budget restaurant kind of treatment. In fact, the treatment is much better there. I was honestly not expecting this in Fish Cove and it came as a surprise for me. Pls watch out for complacent behaviour of the staff and decide the place accordingly. You def wouldn’t want to burn your pockets with this kind of hospitality! There are much better restaurants in the ECR..

I think they should know it’s a 5 star not a regular Restaurant. Service and the behaviour of staff has to be improved.

Really poor quality of food. 90% of the food we had went waste. Limited options for vegetarians. Overall the place lacked everything. Poor hospitality. Something which taj isn't known for. Not coming back.

Very poor quality food. They couldn’t even manage getting their soups to taste better than Knorr soups.
