There's never a dearth for biryani outlets in Chennai. Amongst the brands that vie for their popularity, Sharief Bhai is another name one could reckon with. Having ordered home delivery on multiple occasions, we recently visited their outlet in Santhome and, must say, with good comfort. Brightly lit interiors and ambience with a touch of Middle Eastern fixures - Morrocan tiles on walls, Turkish lanterns on the ceiling and Arabic music played on a loop! The seating was basic and comfortable. The food that arrived just 'completed' the picture. The chicken soup with those crispy fried wings paired well. The Hare Masale Mutton Kheema curry was a standout. We ordered their signature Har-dil Azeez Gosht biryani and were totally smacked by its aroma and flavour. They specialized in Dakhni style and hence, seeraga samba rice. If had to nitpick, it's the protein in the biryani which was a bit hard and not the "fall off the bone" kind. Their Jal Jeera was good but Aam Ka Panna missed the tangy spot. The Matka Phirni did its job and was served complimentary. Service is their USP and, I sure must add, their Mr. Tapas was attentive and indulgent. The pricing was apt. Utterly gobsmacked!

the food was great. we ordered brain tawa fry which was the only dish that was not good, it was not really cooked well. Else, great dining. I think they should highly concentrate on hygiene. Hygiene part was really not good. Or else, a good dining experience with a tasteful dishes

⭐ 1 Star – Very disappointing experience. Visited this restaurant expecting a decent meal, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. After placing our order, we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for the food, and there was no proper communication or concern from the staff about the delay. When the food finally arrived, the quality was very poor and the taste was below average. To make matters worse, the portion size was extremely small compared to the price charged. Paying so much and waiting so long only to receive low-quality food with tiny portions is unacceptable. The restaurant seriously needs to improve service efficiency, food quality, and value for money. For example - The raita was served and we thought it was payasam. that's the quality of the food over there. Definitely not worth the wait or the price. I would not recommend this place based on this experience. waste in food, quality, taste , quantity. Never visit the restaurant.
