In my opinion,  Shri Gowri Krishna hobnobs amongst the best of its category when you consider pure vegetarian outlets.  Recently visited their branch at Gopalapuram Chennai for dinner and were absolutely stocked. Their staple tiffin items arrived hot and yum.  Special mention of the 'thengai paal' that accompanied the appam - it wasn't too sweetened nor overpowering of elaichi.  Just thick and perfect. And so was the 'panakarkandu paal'. The ambience was bringtly lit and the interior was spick and span with comfortable seats.  The best aspect would, ofcourse, be the pricing that still leaves a swell on your wallet.  Heard their lunchtime thaali meals is a rage. The service is attentive and indulgent, almost fringing on hovering, giving us a rushed feel.

We were near to this location, being lunch time we decided to have here. No need to worry about parking since valet parking is available. It was crowded and noisy during our visit but we got the table in 5 mins. Ordered south indian meals, chapati and mini meals. Food ordered served in reasonable time despite crowd. Content of meals is good. Refer attached pictures for details. Taste wise everything is decent. I liked their keerai kootu, podi, sambar and morekolambu. Pricing is cheaper for the quantity and varieties we get. Service was good. Overall satisfying experience 😃

The ambience was really good also kudos to their ample parking space. We ordered a Pongal and Happy Breakfast. The Pongal was served cold and looked sad on the whole with no ghee on it. Definitely doubt if it’s a freshly made one and the staffs were courteous enough to replace it, but to be on the safer side we swapped it with a Poori Set which was good would’ve preferred a Veg Gravy instead of White Chutney 😅. Their Happy Breakfast on the other hand was a crowd pleaser. Definitely worth the penny🫰

A simple, no frills Veg restaurant. Clean, good and fast service. Pretty tasty food. The panneer kothu parotta was soft and tasty. Must try Idiyappam with Paya, Mushroom masala dosai, Wheat tandoori parotta and Veg pulao with the peas curry masala were all good. Panankalkandu milk was just ok. Chennai needs more of this chain, at Adyar, Mylapore, TNagar and OMR.

very simple. mini meals are good in taste. we didn't feel heavy after having lunch. snacks and laddu traditional taste.

Food taste is below average Order veg briyani with gobi manchurian for 200rs For 2 cups of rice 3 cups of raitha is given . Hotel should act with sense instead of loot minded People plz don't order from this restaurant if u know the value of money

There 50rs happy meals was so worst taste and unhygienic. Full of auto drivers occupied every table and shouting at hindi service guys in adultery words. Noisy atmosphere not recommed for family dining. Car parking facility is good
