Teppan has always be my staple when I want to eat Japanese food in Chennai. Been going here for the past 7+ years and I cant believe I am only now leaving a review. The ambience is warm and cozy. The Teppanyaki grills and seating is well maintained and the food is always a hit. Their Sushi is amazing, I've had the entire menu and their meat is always fresh. They always put on a show for us at Teppanyaki grill. Chef Majid Khan, Prabhu and the new manager have always taken such good care of me.

The food is very,very good,especially their Beef Tenderloin,certainly among Chennai's finest. In addition,our dining experience was boosted by outstanding and extremely attentive service. My daughter,a Japanophile - was pleased with the authencity of the dishes served.

The food was so tasty, but the quantity of food was less, not worth the cost. The ambience was very pleasant and comfortable.

Extremely disappointing experience. We were made to purchase Wagyu beef at a misleading price, and no proper explanation was given about the quantity or how the pricing worked. When we raised this concern, the manager showed little interest in clarifying the issue, which made the situation even more frustrating. To make matters worse, another service staff member later admitted that similar incidents have happened multiple times before. This clearly points to a recurring issue rather than a one-time misunderstanding. The overall handling felt unprofessional and lacked transparency. Definitely not the level of service we expected, and we hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves customer communication going forward.

The only positive aspect of our experience was the staff, who were courteous and genuinely tried their best to make guests comfortable. Unfortunately, for a restaurant positioned as fine dining, the ambience felt dated and poorly maintained, which significantly brought down the overall experience. The food was disappointing and did not feel Japanese, even remotely. Both the menu and execution need serious review.
