The food is essential what is served on typical South Indian marriage ellai chapaad…. Background also mimics marriage you get the feeling you are in marriage … food is thali being serviced typical food of two poiyal koot and sambhar rasam and seer Pongal along with raitha … finally with kalamd curd rice …. Great value for money at 250 …. Service is very good and fast ….. great value of money with awesome food and quality … each is the dishes was good espailly sambhar …. Not tasted breakfast menu will do next time … overall must visit if some one wants to try typical Brahmin lunch

Had a breakfast combo that had the usual idli, vadai, Pongal and dosai items. But what impressed me was Jayalakshmi’s service. She had the usual plastic glove but she did something no one in most places in India do not do. She used the glove only when needed making for an enhanced hygienic breakfast experience. Please hold on to Jayalakshmi. She’s a STAR. The food was delicious and I devoured it so no photos of the food 😁

Thaligai is a new, pure veg restaurant in T nagar. Next to Resident hotel and Padmavathy Thayar temple. Parking 2* Ambience 3* Reception and hospitality 4* Service 3* Choice of food 4* Taste 4* Value for money 4* We had thaligai meals which is 250 INR. Classic Thalai vazhai elai meals with 3 vegetables, sambar, Mor kozhambu, vatha kozhambu, pickle, papad, chutney, podi - ghee and curd. Tiffin items were also good. They have morning breakfast combo / pure decoction filter coffee which should not be missed.

Saw this new restaurant and tried it for a Sunday dinner. Menu card had huge varieties. Most of them aren't available. Their menu had interesting items like Tavala vada, vazhapoo vada. Both were not available. Then checked for elaneer halwa, that wasn't available too. All they had is only idly, dosa like items and chapathi. Disappointed started here. Ghee dosa was good. Idly was hard. Chapathi was ok. Normal dosa got ok ok taste. Asked for hot water for 5 ppl; got only for 2. We need to ask them 2-3 times for it again. Tomato uthappam and 2nd chapathi took very long time to be served. They had vetrilai rasam in the menu. I was interested but I'm sure it won't be available. Not interested to visit again. Ambience was good.

Food is good but hygiene wise it’s zero So many mosquitoes and our table was just bustling with small flies The glasses and spoons given to us weren’t even washed properly
