A novice entrant on the already brimming burger scene in Chennai is The Belgian Fries. Recently visited their outlet, rather a kiosk, at Express Avenue Mall. Located in the food court, opposite to the array of other cafes, the stand alone seems strategic, concerning visibility.  But the lauds end there. The buns were smaller than the average ones served in other outlets. And the burger itself was a startler.  We ordered the BBQ Grilled Chicken Meal and what arrived was a piece of fried chicken drenched in BBQ sauce and stuffed inside a bun.  For the price, the accompanying drink was a meager 200 ml Coke/Pepsi/7Up that wasn't chilled enough.  The only saving grace were the fries, hot and crispy. Also, for some odd reason, the proprietor (should be him), desisted us from clicking pictures of his open kitchen.  It's an open kiosk, with an open kitchen in the open flourish of the mall's massive food court.  I really didn't get it. Two stars, one for the fries and the other strictly for the staff who were indulgent, though being self-service.
