Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous!! I think I can sink in one corner of this blue ocean and forget the world for good :) Housed in The Leela Palace, this is one of the finest lounges I have ever been to. Ethereal ambience, soothing instrumental music, impeccable service and fabulous food... need I say more? The drinks menu had a precious collection of malt whiskeys besides some hand-picked wines. You can also find some regular names although their cocktails set is to be digged at, absolutely! The price points are reasonable for a 5-Star property. Martinis are in the range of INR 600 to 800, Vodkas starting from INR 450. I ordered a Ginger Cosmos from the Martini menu and a Chicken Tikka to go along with it. The drink had the perfect concoction and the chicken was fresh and succulent. The place has couches and plush sofas and looked like capable of accommodating 15-18 groups of about 4 each. A reservation, though, is any day better. The hotel's valet parking is a plus. Now stop reading this review and visit this gem to experience its splendor. Oh, did I tell you its the perfect place for a romantic date? :) Meal for 2 (with one round of drinks) : INR 3000 (Veg), INR 3500 (Non-Veg).

Great place if in the mood to party hard after working hard :). If you can’t stand loud music and darkened places don’t go. Loud, lively and luxurious defines this bar.

The Leela and Luxury are synonymous. They also live up to it everytime you are there. Been going to the Chennai edition of Leela for a while now and everytime they've left me feeling wow. Be it China XO or even Spectra. Even their Lobby Lounge & Desserts are one of a kind. Went to The Library Blu this time and the first thing that catches your attention is the decor and lighting. Instantly lifts your mood up for a relaxed evening over some food & drinks.  The music is very gentle and comforting. Not one of those places that can put you off with Jarring music and definitely not for the crowd that wants to shake a leg. I'd say it is ideal for a couple or some friends who want to catch up over a conversation. Stay away if loud music and a noisy place is your pick. We ordered a Veg Quesadilla and it was perfect. Definitely pricey for 650++ (you get 4 small pieces) but the flavor and taste is spot on! And the best part of the dish for me was the guacamole. Heavenly!!! It had the freshness of the guacamole and was finished off with a perfect zesty lemon flavor. It was so good that I chose not to go anywhere near the sour cream & salsa they offered with it. While most places serve chips with drinks, it was rather thoughtful of them to serve toasted peanuts, almonds and some spiced green olives as accompaniments (complimentary). The quality of alcohol is clearly superior. Adding a drink or two to your menu could bring up the bill to an average of about 1200-1500 per person which is definitely absolute value for money given the impeccable service and super luxurious ambiance!

If your idea of a romance is still candle light and roof top, you need to step into this place just to redefine all your clichés about a romantic date night ambience. Laced with exotic blue lighting and artwork pieces distributed so tastefully .. This place is a delight to senses. Easily the best ambience in Chennai. So Royal , so exquisite. We dropped there for late night drinks on a thursday , the place was surprisingly not totally deserted.Ordered a couple of drinks and a chicken tikka kebab. While I felt the food was on the expensive side, drinks, on the other hand were pleasantly decently priced. No way cheap by any means, but comparable to other places of its league. We got olives, cashews and groundnuts as accompaniments to our drinks. I dont get why people are complaining so much about it, I mean its just a free accompaniment to keep your tastebuds going, not your stomach . Kebab was very succulent and impeccably cooked with the correct tang and spice. Service was very prompt and friendly . Bill was definitely lesser than we had expected . Taxes were low as compared to so many other lounges in the city where its almost 50% of the food expense . Put this place on your list of must visit places now ! Why -0.5, because hope :-)

Nice bar not too much crowd on a week day, price is steep but after 10pm BOGO for drinks is option one should explore if you want a long haul. Over all 4.5 for ambience and finger food.

Now when it comes to The leela Palace we do expect a lot from the Bar too right ? And Library blu does come up to your expectations. The alcohol menu has a good variety although I did expect the availability of beers since we were at a fancy bar. The staff are very friendly and the ambiance is amazing. To sum things up we enjoyed our time. Note : I was constantly reminded about the dress code; no sleeveless or no flip-flops.

Library blu was in my radar from quite sometime and when a friend whose recommendations I trust blindly recommended a visit to this place, I did not give it a second thought. And who would doubt a place in THE Leela Palace anyway?. The expectation from a place inside a star hotel is always a notch higher than usual and when it’s Leela, expectations are way more high. We reached here around 9pm. Place was fairly filled. The moment you open the door to Library blu, all you can notice is the color Blue. True to the second name, the whole place is lit up in blue color. People who have a strong liking towards this color would love the place. And about library, not sure why it’s named so. There is a shelf with books which looked more like literatures, but even if one wants to treat this place like a library, the lighting is too dim for that. As expected, it’s posh. A lovely bar in the middle. Seating is scattered, no proper fashion. Great place to sit back and enjoy in the company of friends. Good place for a date too. Music collection is lovely as well.

When you meet your precious client at this place,the deal gets done ✌️✌️ It is located inside the Leela palace,MRC nagar area. The Ambience is perfect with a huge enterance,the Designs, Seating arrangements made,cleanliness maintained,the music at the best ❤️,the blue dim lights,also has a thematic library scenes. We had a few pint of beer,had some good points discussing business. The Service was little bit slow and i found it bit costly as bars in such big healthy hotels have such premium pricing. Anything done to make clients happy 👍 Overall,night went well.☺️

This is a bar at Leela, and remains open till 1 AM. Most of the guests are resident guests. The waiter Sandeep is really nice, but I did not like the manager as he made a huge fuss against the online payment Liquor is a little expensive, but finger food - even when options are less, is kind of okay. Can be tried - if you are at radio room, and it is shutting down and you still want to party a little longer .... Best thing to eat - Barbeque chicken wings and spring rolls

A beautiful property with opulent architecture but unfortunately this hotel failed to click amongst the chennaiites . LIBRARY BLU is a Longue bar which is very dimly lit and has a very cozy seating, where you can try to unwind but which will be spoiled by the resident DJ churning out some horrible music .Service is too slow that you would have to wait a good 10 minutes to place an order as the there are only 3 working staff whom seem to disappear every now and then in an empty bar . This place is not crowded at all even on weekends . Food aint that great but you pay a premium for the “Leela “ tag . overall a good place to chill with you inner circle if you really love your privacy ! Top marks for the interiors thou ......
