Had a great vibe throughout the evening. The starters were delicious, especially the Podi Idly - it was amazing. The food was fresh and appetising, the mocktails were refreshing, and the service was good too.

Getting into the bar felt like getting into the Pentagon. There was a lot of hassle. We had to get a ₹1,000 membership card just to gain access to the bar. We were told it's mandatory to carry the physical card if we want to visit again. A similar thing happened during my last visit to The Cycle Gap as well. I'm not sure what the logic behind this is—maybe they're registered under different names, or maybe it's to evade taxes. I don't know. But after a point, it just feels like an additional security check to enter a bar. We went there on a Friday evening when it wasn't very crowded, but the music was blasting through the roof. If you want to have a conversation, this bar is a clear no. Thankfully, they were playing Tamil songs, and the DJ seemed to be an OG '90s kid, so the playlist resonated well with us after a couple of drinks. All we wanted was to share a pitcher and head back home like good boys. But when best friends reunite and one starts dropping truth bomb after truth bomb, it quickly turns into a pitcher each. So, it ended up being a repeat of my last pub visit to The Cycle Gap. Thankfully, I had eaten before drinking this time, so I didn't end up super tipsy like I did on my previous pub visit. There weren't any pitcher options apart from British Empire, and it tasted more bitter than usual. Anyway, that didn't dampen our spirits. They served some complimentary chips as bar snacks. I'm not a big fan of crispy snacks, but I wasn't in the mood to spend much on food that day, so I stuck with them. The only dish we ordered was Kozhi Milagu Varuval. It was quite spicy, but absolutely superb. It would've paired really well with parotta. Overall, it was a decent visit. The space felt a bit cramped, and there wasn't much privacy, which put me off. Music is a personal preference, so I don't really want to complain about that.

could have had a better playlist, gave us a headache. even with zero crowd , we had to wait for each dish for a long time. some of the dishes were too salty and had the same sauce.
