Had a wonderful lunch at The Plate! Although I was initially disappointed that the mushroom soup wasn't available, the Cream of Broccoli Soup more than made up for it. It was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For the appetizer, I tried the jalapeño bites, which were crispy, tasty, and paired perfectly with the onion dip. The highlight of the meal was the butter naan with mushroom curry. The curry had a smooth, creamy texture with just the right balance of spices, allowing the mushroom flavor to shine through. It was comforting and incredibly satisfying. To top it all off, the ambience was pleasant and relaxing, and the service was prompt, courteous, and attentive. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience, and I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

One of the most underrated outlets serving pure vegetarian fare should be The Plate, located on the ground floor, far end of Express Avenue Mall Chennai. Unassuming, clean and minimalistic and also sparsely staffed. The food was delish and neat. The ambience is so calm and hushed you could distinctly hear your clanks and chomps in tandem. They offer a cool menu of single course, one plate meal and what caught my attention was - bisibele with potato fry, curd rice with pickle and Thai green curry with flavoured rice. One yummy fare!!
