Wow! what a place! After so long Chennai finally has a proper bar that is based on actual experience and nostalgia. Cocktails were unique and very well based on the theme of Madras perfectly mixed to give you the real Chennai experience. The food was outstanding and perfect quantities for fine dining. Thoughtfully curated dishes, with such detail that made the experience a trip back in time with a mix of the present Chennai. What a great mix. Ambience was perfect with soft music to let you have a good time with your loved ones and have real conversations. Staff were super friendly and kept their distance do we could have our privacy but also were there exactly when we needed them. Such an amazing experience and a great example for what real drinking culture in Chennai was and should be today. Highly recommend!

I’m the first reviewer so I’ll try to be kind. I went yesterday with 2 other girlfriends and had some high hopes, but other than the nethili fry (which was a bit dry and could’ve been served with some kind of dip) it was quite a forgettable evening. Fairly dark ambience, which isn’t bad but music could’ve been better - try instrumental jazz or even live music could make it a bit smoother and hide the TV pls. Uncles can watch the match inside. Now cocktail menu - it’s ok to be pretentious but imp to actually taste good. The knack with cocktails is to taste good while getting you knackered. So thenga manga was am absolute flop. Neither had the sourness of manga not the taste of the Sundal in the cocktail - just some thenga foam and Sundal on the side - so nothing really of note. Half the glass was a giant Ice ball - so 950 is just ridiculous. Next was the food - mutton chukka egg fry was actually good, but two eggs is a bit too less 6 pieces should be the serving size - the mutton purée was good too - atleast 3 egg whites for 450 rs lol. Finally the tacos? 3 tiny canapés with a massive load of stuffing. Was hard to pick up and actually eat them! Also kamarkat doesn’t belong in a cocktail. So friends, go to literally any elite TASMAC, it’ll be dingy - serve free Sundal, egg fry and avg alcohol lol
