I spent my birthday with my friends here, this place is good for celebrations, amazing food,great ambiance and service to go with. The food was the star of the show, being Ambassador chain they had an elaborate snacks menu on drinks and lip-smacking food. Chicken Satay , Pepperika Fish and Crispy Squid was to die for, it was simply awesome.,succulent and tempting Service ...Staff was quite courteous and very prompt at service   Many Thanks to the entire team of Society Bar for making my birthday special and memorable, looking forward to more such visits here and surely suggesting this place to my family and friends

english style bar in chennai with an awesome collection of alcohol and yummy food. staff are very very polite and cordial. have been visiting this place since past 10 years

Mostly a place for stags, as I saw very few couples here. Great deals during IPL season though - Unlimited pours + 1 appetiser for around 1,000/- all day (no time limit) Complimentary snacks provided are really good and the food is also tasty.

After a lot of unfruitful search for bars around Egmore and Mount road we settled to this bar. This place had a bit of nostalgia associated so I was kind of happy to go there. We thought of starting off with cocktail. So wanted a Gimlet but Gin was not available so settled for Screwdriver, which was heavily watered down and Planters Punch. Both didn’t taste good and were given in normal drinking water glasses. So needless to say we were terribly disappointed. My friend then went for beer and I for Vodka. I asked for Lime Soda which came as Lime extract and bottled Soda. Again, a disappointment. The ambiance too wasn’t anything great. Worst thing is it has a place to go to restaurant in the corner of the bar. The only good thing was the smoking room, the chair of which interested me. The disappointment got a little bit less only because of the happy hours.
