We went for dinner to this seafood restaurant.Ambience was good.it was a garden restaurant with separate huts.we had chicken soup and prawn starters it was really yummy.Then waiter told us about the option to choose Live fish which will be cooked by the chef. We chose one and it was quickly served as fried fish with mouth watering masala tinge.For the main course, we had fried rice and naans with fish curry. Also, there are few spots to take photos inside the restaurant one with ocean and fishing boat background.On the whole it was a nice experience having food here

Tucked in the busy ECR. Thoondil is a restaurant with good ambience especially for sea food delicacies. There are other places to try other dishes. Go for the sea food. Sura puttu, full fish tawa fry were awesome. Non veg meals with fish curry, nethili Fry, prawns, crab masala, omelette is worth the try. Cost of non veg meals is 400. Full fish tawa fry was 1200 (700g Parai fish). The tawa fry masala was awesome. Though the tiger prawn fry was not as good (taste was bland). Surely a must try place. One has to try the live fishes too. When you go for full fishes cush for the freshness of fish and then select the fish you want

The ambience was lovely... The staff was very friendly. Food was good... Nandu rassam was delicious, fish fingers were good but if it's cut into thin slices it will taste more delectable. Prawns Biryani was satisfying. The prawns were a bit sweet, but the rice was flavourful.

Ordered chettinad meals combo is 400Rs which is not worth for the money, mainly the fish curry it's like they have just added a fish in normal gravy, taste is bad. Koduva fish tawa fry felt cholorine smell while eating some portions of fish Finger fish just 5 small peices cost of 360 Rs is very expensive. Chilly chichen and prawn rice is awesome taste Overall waited for 1hour to get table and had food is not worth for the money. This is my second visit when compared to first second is bad experience.

Went on a Sunday afternoon lunch and the waiting time was 1.30hrs to get a table for 10 members(Average waiting time for a table 30 mins). Expected a lot from this sea food restaurant but all went in vain as none of the items were not upto the mark. Chinese cuisines were good but when it comes to sea food we expect some spicy chettinadu style but that was missing. Overall it’s average food with normal ambience in a out door area.

Big NO for vegetarian people. only go if you are non vegetarian and who can wait for minimum 30-45 mins to get your order. Its like booking irctc ticket with 2g network on a nokia 1100 also order everything in one shot, otherwise you have to wait with finished plates for some more time.

Highly disappointed..it was not worth the hype.The food was terrible and highly priced.Also long waiting hours in mediocre ambience.

Food quantity was so less, however even the taste is pathetic, and the attitude shown by the waiters was next level NOT AT ALL RECOMEMNDED, I would suggest buy fish and cook at home by checking recipe from youtube that would taste much much better, utter waste of money

Very bad service, no proper line to wait as well, we waited for almost 15 minutes no one came and even spoke to us. we had to skip this reservation, very bad experience
