Zoo Cafe is located on the access road of Guindy Children's Park. The dining space of this cafe is on the first floor, accessible by stairs only. The full glass siding will allow for a scenic view of the greenery of the Children's Park, although it can be better appreciated in the daytime. Seating is very spacious, with choice between chairs and sofas; the tables are well spaced out to give a feeling of privacy to each group. Sufficient space is there to walk around. It is clean, well-lit and properly air-conditioned. One corner is set up for taking good photos. This time, at dinner time, only two tables were occupied. There is a washbasin area attached to the dining space, but the restroom is only accessible from outside. The menu available is exactly as on Zomato, with the same prices. The cafe specialises in North Cuisine, but Chinese, Pasta, Noodles, Pizza, Sandwiches and Burgers are also available. The number of varieties within each cuisine is somewhat limited, although they have touched upon the main items that are popular. It is quite affordable as well, except for the Desserts section which I think is a bit pricey. Bottled water is separately chargeable, so one may chose to refuse that. The cafe offers both veg and non-veg dishes, but we had veg this time. For starters, Honey Chilli Potato and Paneer Fingers (served with a side of french fries and mayo) were both great. Paneer-Jalapeño Pizza was delicious, with a cheesy thin crust, but the edges of the crust were burnt. Alfredo Penne Pasta was okay, although I felt that the white sauce was not properly cooked. In the main course, we ordered Butter Naan with Paneer Tikka Masala and Dal Fry. All three were excellent, with the accurate flavours of North Cuisine which very few restaurants in the area have been able to do. Portion sizes are moderate, and each dish serves one person approximately. We didn't try desserts. Wait staff don't hover near the table, but respond very quickly upon being called. Plates were cleared between starters and main course, and water glasses were refilled without being asked. Tables were well-stocked with necessities like spoons, forks, tissues and so on. Lastly, Zomato bookings and payments are accepted without any hassle, along with any applicable Zomato discounts. Overall, our experience was an enthusiastic 5/5. Very few tiny things could be improved upon in the food preparation space, but otherwise, both the food and the ambience wowed us.

gee podi thattu idly is a must have. Have to call out on the staff who were polite, courteous and always trying to attend the table. Valet parking is available, even though road works are going on.

I went for my dinner with my family and it was so pleasant and so silent, we felt relaxed and would like to come back again ! I really enjoyed it

It's a nice place with good ambience and tasty food. However, they don't have a beverage menu yet. They only have the canned sodas. Also, they don't have a decent restroom inside the building. It is available outside the building and a bit dingy like the ones you find on a highway restaurant. That is definitely a minus point. There is alot of scope for improvement. However, the biggest plus point is the location. For once, you don't feel like you are inside a concrete jungle. Even the air smells like a jungle. You can hear different sounds of birds, not the usual ones. We had gone on a weekday evening and the place was quite empty. At the max there were 6 families at the restaurant. Many vacant tables.

Don’t book for dinner I booked dinner with my family tonight 19-jan-2026. When I reached the restaurant they informed that they are not working today . I said why did you keep the cafe open for booking when u are not working . The manager was very rude to us and said he forgot to update app . He asked me go to other hotels at 9:00 PM . It was already late .

Food is very oily. I ordered Pasta, honey chilli potato and Sandwich. Too much oil in pasta and honey chilli potato. Taste can be improved a lot. Ambience is good and service is nice.
