Im a big fan of this place. The food is delicious, you guys should check it out its in RS puram, Vcv layout. this is the authentic and original family owned restaurant which has been serving delicious biriyani for decades. To my notice there's a new restaurant with the same name in VH road, which is not the real one and the taste is the guarantee for that, it is nowhere close the original Angannan Biriyani in RS puram.

A friend suggested this place and it was worth coming to. Despite of the odd timing we visited, they served the best chicken biriyani. It was cooked to perfection and the quantity is perfect as well. Tried their brain fry and kada fry as well. Both were good. A must try if you are visiting Coimbatore. All the more closer to Brookefields Mall hoppers.

Best Seeraga Samba Biriyani in the town. The original ghee biriyani was made from this place of aroma which was in Townhall and now reopened at Rs puram. I had connect with the main branch from my childhood and after decades melted back my memories again here. The Biriyani my personal favorite mutton and chicken. The chicken fry roast. Thala kari, Mulai roast, Chicken 65, Chilly Chicken and even the Parotta is outstanding. Expecting large comfortable places to dine. Taste wise biriyani na adhu "Angannan" than. The famous outlets of Kovai Biriyani, Thambiyannan etc., were formed by getting seperated from this branch. This Angannan i the original makers of this dum ghee style of hot typical biriyani!

This biriyani is different from all the ones that I have ever had. No complaints but if you are In gastronomical journey it is different and a must try. Mutton Biriyani is what I had and I relished it. The accompaniment- Pepper leg fry was brilliant. The hotel dates back in time and hence the style of serving and ambiance should be discounted. Net net I walked out with a pleasant smile.

One of best hotel in serving good biriyani with classy taste in what they serve! A must try hotel if you look for best biriyani in and around RS puram. I would be fully satisfied if they look for a way to change the ambience. Sometimes I feel the place as not clean may be because of the place. Otherwise it's good!

I had heard so much about this place over the years but, as I live in Chennai, was never able to make it.  Last month I passed through the area on work and dropped in with high expectations.  I ordered their fabled mutton biriyani. I will not say it was not good, in fact, it was quite nice but absolutely did not live up to the legendary status that it seems to have acquired. They did not have my favorite kola urundai but serve what can be best described as a  mutton vadai. As with the biriyani it was good but not ,memorable. Simple decor and good and polite service.  I would eat here if I am in the vicinity at meal time but I will not go out of the was as there are better options in Coimbatore.

The taste is good.. Rate is too high.. Quantity is less.. You cannot afford to be peace when place is crowded.. Food are very spicy.. The brand name is what makes this place a popular one among all..
