This was a long pending review. Stayed at vivanta during one of my business travel and decided to eat at latitude for dinner with my colleagues. They had an Andhra festival going at that time and since we were guests they were kind enough to give us ala carte option. We ordered one tomato basil soup which tasted so fresh and had a very nice flavour. For started had one French fries, paneer tikka and both were perfect. The texture , flavour and taste was good. For main ordered one veg biryani and white sauce pasta. If u want to have good veg biryani this is the place. No complaints over the pasta also. Some places maintain the charm forever and taj is one of them. Service was top notch. Since this was on a business travel I couldn’t really comment on the pricing :) Overall rating - def 5/5

We visited for lunch buffet, the spread was decent. There was no chicken starter, but the staff gave us chicken tikka on the house and said we do not want the guest to be disappointed. Good food, good ambience, very good staff. Worth visiting

We have visited for a Sunday brunch..the spread was lavish. Taste was good & staff was corteous. There was some live music too....the dessert spread had a lot to select from. The best part was that zomato gold is applicable...

Taj Vivanta is one of those early 5 star hotel to hit Coimbatore. This review was an experience from a while ago, so kindly excuse in case of any mistakes. Ambience: As always, the star hotels are always pleasant and this is situated at the ground floor right after the entrance. It is well situated at the heart of the city. So it's quite a buzzing place. Staff: The staff are very courteous and enthusiastic to serve us despite the evening visit for lunch. Food: The food was good as the standards. The starter was non-Veg platter, it had two of 4-5 varieties of non-vegetarian dishes. All were delicious, especially the prawns, are a must try. The main course consisted of many variety: We chose the classic margherita pizza and it was delicious. Thin crust, right seasoning. Even the kids loved it. The herb crusted New Zealand Lamb was a very delicious dish. But it was too hard, and tough so that spoilt the mood to eat. But the bourbon sauce was on point. It wasn't worth the price. Stuffed chicken was the tastiest Mediterranean dish of the two. Everything about it was perfect, seasoned vegetables, the sauce was reduced well and tender chicken. Nasi goreng was one perfect dish that all of us enjoyed to eat. It was just perfect and would opt it anytime I walk in again. Tiramisu was too good as well. Dessert's always are worthy to try at five star restaurants. Blueberry cheesecakes are something no one can go wrong with. Hands down it was worth all the satisfaction. Cocktail are something worth trying here. Not a fan of pricing. But hey it's a five star place. No one can complain. Overall: It's a worthy place of it's name and it's always a pleasure to dine here with family and friends.

Buffet 1500 per person not worth for money, no icecream, worst dessert , not many options in starter and main course. For 800 you find far better place. You can't pay for ambience if food isn't good.

Went for the Sunday brunch with my family today (group of 4). Honestly, one of the worst meals of my life. I mean there is nothing that was good. Had called them to check the timing and was supposed to be from 12.30 pm. We reached at 1 PM, no one at the entrance to meet us. Waited few mins and found a table of our own. Barely 30% of the buffet was setup. And still no one met or spoke to us, not even a Hello or told us the live counters etc. Went and picked up food on our own. Nothing made sense with the selection. For example, there was only one veg gravy suitable for naan/roti. And then there were 3 dry sabjis. For non veg it was even worse. The only gravy option was a South Indian fish preparation - which is better had with rice. Btw, it was 1.45 pm before the buffet was 100% stocked. Service - staff at the restaurant seemed so disinterested to help or even appear when needed. No one to clear plates, in fact no one to even call out. This when there were barely 15 diners in the restaurant. And even worse, they cleared our side plates with cutlery when we were still at the table and midst of our eating. This happened twice with different staff. Even bill payment took tries for 3 different staff members - just to get my membership number added. Pros - salads, roasted pumpkin and bell peppers, cannelloni were good. One or two of the desserts were decent Overall, it was so so poor - add in the fact that the bill was 6600 rs for 4 adults - with no drinks etc. There are much better choices in Coimbatore and at better prices. This place is honestly a disgrace to the Taj brand. Save your hard earned money and celebrate elsewhere
