The place has a funny name. It feels like a Vadivelu disguised as Singh and calling out customers to the restaurant with his broken Hindi. It was quite late and I was in a dilemma whether to eat at a proper restaurant or just eat somewhere nearby but I chose the former option because I hadn’t had good food in past couple of days and from the next day onwards I was again going to travel so thought of going to Uss Da Dhaba for a heavy dinner. Luckily I remembered this vegetarian restaurant which I had noted the previous time I went to Uss Da Dhaba so I went there. The place was neat, spacious and inviting. The only hassle was to buy token for the first order. For me it was okay as I had only one item to buy but people who come with their family and extended family were finding it tough. I ordered a Kadi Chawal, which was lovely, in fact the best Kadi I had had till then. For Rs. 60, it was value for money. I thought I’d have just that for dinner but I was hungry and in a mood to indulge so ordered a Plain Dosa along with it. For Rs. 100, it was expensive of course but my South Indian tongue just wanted it. I wanted to top it up with coffee but it was not available. Nevertheless I was totally satisfied with the food. I’m taking out that one star for the first round self-service.
