Oh you have my heart! This place has some really heart warming food. A localite told us this is a must try place and I agree. Hot delicious food accompanied by the uncle serving it with a bit of tough love. Everything here is worth trying. Gulab jamun, kheer, Puri and 4 sabzis. Thank you for the best last breakfast at Dehradun.

Had Aloo Puri at a tiny yet spectacular little spot in the market (Hanuman Chowk) area called Chetan Swadisht Kachori. It looks and feels like a decades old spot, it's packed and the food, service and hygiene are great!

Filling & Satisfying!!!!! Visited Chetan Puri Wala today after more than a decade. Hanuman Ji Mandir, Crowded Streets, & Aroma of spices & delicious & lip smacking Hot Puris; this is what one can recollect, as & when one ponders of "Chetan Puri Wale". Taste still remains the same & takes you back to your school days, when eating at this place used to be an exciting event in itself. Things have definitely changed here, however, they have changed for good. They have catered for decent seating area to accommodate the humungous footfall, that this joint witnesses on daily basis. The menu remains pretty standard. A Single plate of Rs 80/- comprises of :- - 04 x Puris - Alu Sabji Curry - Kaddu (Pumpkin) Sabji - Chole - Dry Alu Sabji - Radish Flakes with Sweet Chutney The food is served in a "Pattal", a round plate made out of Banyan Tree Leaves. All the Curries & Sabjis are unlimited. So you can have your fill. A quick brief on the eats :- - Puri : Piping hot Puris are served here which bloom to its fullest. The puri has a nice filling of Dal Pithi which adds on to the flavour. Delicious indeed. - Alu Sabji Curry : Very Simple but extremely flavourful. Very little spice. Comprises of tomatoes. Has a tinch of tangy flavour. - Kaddu (Pumpkin) Sabji : Mashed Pumpkin which is sweet. My personal favourite. Balances the varied salty & spicy flavours of the other dishes. Very tasty. - Chole : This one's spicy. The garam masala added gives it that peculiar taste which goes well with Puris. - Dry Alu Sabji : Simple indeed, yet delicious. Tastes like home cooked. Overall, it was a treat to visit here after so many years. One drawback was that, they accept only cash payment, which they should definitely give it a thought & introduce other payment options, as we as a country are heading towards digitisation. My Rating :- - Taste : 4.5/5 - Ambience : 3/5 - Hospitality : 4/5 - Pennyworth : 5/5 Regards

Read about this place as a "must visit " in Dehradun and was not disappointed. We ordered Kachori plate & it came with chole, potato gravy and a tangy red colored chutney. They serve food in eco friendly disposable plates. The gulab jamun was kind of okayish.. Kachoris are available from 8 am to 4 pm daily. So go in that time slot; if you want to have a hearty meal of awesome kachoris. It can get cramped during the peak hours . So visit it slightly later in the day; when crowd thins out . The place is easy to located being situated next to a busy Hanuman Temple. Worth a visit. #suhaskatti

Review is for ordering through Zomato : Swiggy - Have been eating here since ages and ever since they came onto delivery things got bad. The price is 100 for a plate and on delivery apps it’s 190. No clue why. Regardless what’s disappointing is the measly portions of sabji they are sending. It’s hardly enough for 2 kachori’s. Really sad considering how nice this places used to be.
