A hidden gem !! I happened to visit this restaurant in Red fox hotel behind Aketa . Food was just amazing , service was prompt and Deepak was very courteous . Prices of the dishes are very reasonable. I had Man how soup to begin with, and it was just perfect. Honey chilli potato they prepare with potato wedges but still it was great in taste only thing the crispness was missing. But one can understand In main course we had paneer lababdar. And I tell you this is the best lababdar you could find in town! Texture, aroma, thickness of lababdar was just remarkable. Overall a great 5 star dining experience. Kudos to chef and service team lead by Ravi.

This place is relatively new but kudos to the chef. They not only serve good food but most importantly they are filled with well mannered staff and their service is quick. They have added Dehradun’s local speciality in their menu and it’s worth trying.

This seems to be an old property which has been franchised by the Lemon Tree Group. Located on the Rajpur Highway Road, the location is excellent, and the surroundings super. The lush greenery, especially if it rains a bit as it did during my stay here, makes your day complete. The Rooms here are comfortably largish, with ample pacing space. Full marks to them on the room size. My room 228 had a good lawn side view from the 2nd-floor window. A large King sized bed, ample lighting, a well-functioning AC and a well functioning Wifi. Unlimited drinking water bottles. A large mirror on the wall. A 32 inches LED TV (Didn’t check for HD Channels). Adequate charging points on each side of the bed. An excellent aqua area with a pressure-pumped shower in the bathroom. A hairdryer. So far so good. The cons: 1) Hygiene was a concern. They were running miserably short of staff and the morning Housekeeping person presumably was a let’s-get-done-with-it kind of person. Two days in a row I had to summon personnel for cleaning up on my return to the room in the evening. Very obviously, my prior request of allotting me a room which had been lying vacant for the last 24 hours was not fulfilled. 2) Inadequacy of staff led to a mere transactional atmosphere. I yearned for a personal touch, someone who would exchange smiles with me, greet me a good morning, and ask if my stay was comfortable. The people were too busy running around completing their chores to give a thought to such niceties. 3) Breakfast was strictly okay. The Idli Wada Poha kind. A stray Pav Bhaji or a Chhole Puri thrown in for good measure. Also, a huge credit also goes to them for adding a non veg item, either a fish pakora or a chicken preparation in pepper curry or similar. However, some items could be vastly improved upon - the coconut chutney had dessicated, ready made coconut instead of the fresh ones, and the chhaas preparation would be much better off if they use roasted cumin seeds instead of raw ones. The lack of live counters, desserts, and bakery sweets came across as a big disappointment – absolutely not in line with the brand. I wanted to offer the very feedback to the Executive chef – however, he came across as the type of person who would rather be cocooned in the comfort of his kitchen and not face the big bad world outside. I wanted to write absolutely generously for him, but my brief (on-request) meeting with him was full of tight lipped responses and non-substantial replies. Sigh! I genuinely wonder how there could be such an experiential difference within the same brand spread across two different locations. In Vijayawada, the same brand treated me like a king. Here, I was incognito. How come? So an average experience.
