I personally had an amazing experience while here. Surely one of the finest cafes in Dharamshala when it comes to food and ambience. The coffees have been really good, particularly their mocha. Ordered their pizzas, quiche and chocolate cake. Pizza was thin crust, well done. Quiche was also decent. Disappointed with their chocolate cake though. The cake was not baked well. Coming to the feel of the cafe, they have some nice indoor seating with stacks of books. They have a couple of outdoor tables as well, but you will have to be lucky to get them. The view is just to enjoy a pleasant evening

Lovely boutique place which serves tasty food. We visited as it is talked about a lot by bloggers and travellers. We tried Sauteed vegetables, Spinach carrot soup and Falafel plater. This place is usually crowded so expect a wait time. It is 1.5km from Dalai Lama temple. Clearly a best place in Mcleodgang for food. It overlooks valley on one of the side which is icing on the cake.Tibet Kitchen- Authentic food. We had Steamed momos, Fried dumplings, Veg thupka.

Illeterate is a very subtle place with beautiful vibe and a very helpful and cheerful staff. I was staying very close to it and visited fort consecutive 3 evenings. The food is great here but if you are a dog lover, it's even better. My favourite was lemonade. It had an amazing after taste. Very refreshing. Arribiate pasta and chicken schnitzel were amazing as well. Best pasta I've had so far. The only thing, their service is a little slow but worth the wait.

Overall as they have mentioned on the board, overhyped place I would agree with it. Nothing special really.. falafel was good but would have preferred pita bread in the platter. Fries were good. Their home made almond coffee ice cream was unique and nice. Nothing extra ordinary about it I would say.

Beautiful place and good food. The only issue is they know that and hence are indifferent towards the customers. Also not to forget the same sign everywhere telling you to not make noise.. that’s a bit uninviting

One of the most popular yet overhyped cafe at Mcleodganj. The view is great, no doubt abt that and they have tried to create a quaint ambience with books etc. However that's where the positives end. There are several issues with the place - 1. The menu is quite limited and taste quite average. We've tried the fries (decent), ravioli (very little stuffing, felt like we're eating just maida), pancakes (should be called crepes coz they aren't your fluffy pancakes), waffle (one of the better things), iced tea (avoid - just sugary water) and spinach soup (avoid at all cost, very bitter) 2. It's unhygienic to have dogs roaming around an eating place and shedding hair on the seats and table 3. The staff was arrogant at times and didn't really care if you had a good experience or not. Clearly they have enough business to care about making everyone's experience positive. One time visit at best to click a few pictures. There are better eateries with genuine people just a few metres from this place.

It's a good option only if you want to click pictures for insta. Rest, food is average which you cannot enjoy with dog hair everywhere. Staff thinks they don't need customers coz they are already doing well, so be ready for not so good treatment. It is really over hyped and people are not giving any chance to some great restaurants just next to this one.

Staff was damn rude. They served us sugar less cold coffee and when we asked them to add sugar they were so impolite and asked us to leave it if we didn't like it. Rest of the food was also bad. Go there just to watch the cafe. Food and staff would only leave you with a bad mood.
