Sikkim Diary! If one wants to get fully into Sikkimese culture and food then Tashi Delek Hotel@MG Marg-Gangtok is your go to place.The hotel also has a swanky restaurant which is decorated with vintage Sikkimese artifacts and has great interiors.It has a beautiful open area sitting as well. Full marks for ambience and decor.We ordered honey chilly potato which was tangy and tasty.When in Sikkim,you can't miss momos,so we had their speciality -Churpi(local style cottage cheese) momos.The momos were served in vintage container and were yummy! The meal was washed down by a glass of Virgin Mojoto! A fully satisfying meal at a great place!!

Best food in mg road , Gangtok. Food was fresh and served in large quantity. Apt for families and couples as the ambience is too good . Open air and view of Gangtok beauty . Cocktails are commendable and bartender and staff go out of the way for best service . For stay also Tashi delek location is very good as it is right in mg road .

If you are mountain lover and wish to have a cozy dinner with scenic view, this is the place. Well my 4 stars are for that only. I wanted to enjoy the night view of Gangtok while sipping over my wine and that is how it ended up there. Food was good, Music was awesome, Ambiance was awesome too. Staffs were well behaved but yes slow. That is the only con I would say.

Pros - Best location ,Mid of MG Marg -Ambience is good,open space available - One of the best view point Cons- overpriced compared to the quantity -taste is average ,didn’t feel fresh and juicy (tried 3 different item)

This was a classic example of the quote "all that glitters is not gold". Tashi Delek is located in one of the most prime locations of Gangtok and the view that one gets from the restaurant is breathtaking but the food and service that we got at the place cancelled out the positive aspects. Almost all of the items that we ordered were substandard and had to be remade after our many complains. The waiting time was very high and we had to wait long enough for getting any service.

Go there for the view. The food and the service is worthless and pathetic. We waited almost an hour for some soups and starters. Didn't have patience for main course.

Disgrace in the name of hospitality. They denied us ordered food, accompanied by higher management. I wonder does Sikkim promote tourism as I could feel a lot of hostility from the person incharge, then again I would not blame all. The person incharge had an amazing answer ' We can't help you ' !!! Isn't it suppose to be 'May I help you'?? Well I hope management looks into it or they can just shut it down saying we don't welcome outsiders.

North indian food is not appetising. And service is extremely slow. When you call server, they would look at you and would ignore you like you never called them. Pathetic experience overall.
