During our stay at Indra Mandala in Gangtok, we had the pleasure of dining multiple times at Lhasa Newar, their in-house restaurant. One of the highlights was the DIY pizza night guided by Chef Vivek, who not only served up the best pizza we've had in a long time, but also guided us through the pizza making process, leaving us richer in knowledge and experience. Chef Chewang also served up an excellent Thakali Thali (a Newari special, much recommended) that was simply delicious. And Mr. Lakpa is not only an expert at making cocktails but also knows how to make a mean cup of coffee. Overall, a fantastic experience with great food and drinks! Highly recommended.

Lhasa Newar was a surreal experience. Lovely location to begin with and excellent interiors giving an ode to the rich cultural history of the Newar community that moved to Lhasa centuries ago. The food was excellent with menu focused equally on Nepalese and Tibetan delicacies. The staff was extremely cordial making sure they strike a fine balance between checking on you timely and not overdoing it. Siddharth from the service team would give us a quick background about every dish that was served. The owner Rashik is extremely friendly and passionate about his culture and took care of us like how one would while hosting guests at home. Definitely coming back !

You know that feeling when you dine at a restaurant the first time and it's perfect but the second time you go you feel a little let down. Well Lhasa Newar is the first Restaurant in Gangtok that I have not felt that during the 5 times I have been here in the past 3 Months! Convenient Parking, Courteous, welcoming and attentive Staff, a comfortable and warm vibe and scrumptious and satisfying meals everytime I have been here! Strongly recommend everyone in Gangtok to try it our for yourselves!

went here after seeing a 4.9 rating on Google on a rainy Monday afternoon. it is in a tiny 10 room hotel and almost a part of the reception but the ambience is wonderful and the view is gorgeous. The highlight however is the food. Tibetan , Nepali , Newari and continental all under one roof. absolutely delicious food and excellent service. unsure of why the rating is low

We really enjoyed the food and special mention to their bartender who made cocktails using local fruit leather called titauri and dried hog plums called Khattau. Our fav food was the momos served in veg clear soup and their pizzas are great too!

Best authentic food, really enjoyed the buff kofta a must have signature delicacy. Drooled over the traditional veg thali ali by with mouth watering momos. One of the hidden gem of Gangtok :)

A slice of heaven. The Wood Fired Pizzas at Lhasa Newar is yummy Chef Vivek is an outstanding chef I ever met. Must try their Newar Special Thali. A perfect place to party with friends

If you are in Gangtok, go to this place. The food is amazing - extremely passionate staff and ambience is just 10/10. This place of more of an experience and you MUST experience it.
