Well, Parivar is a pure veg outlet based @ Vishal Gaon, Gangtok and we decided to try them out for a dinner! Ambience here is fine and their menu is so very wide! Since we were starved to death, we ordered their mains right away - Malai Kofta, Chana masala and tandoori roti. All dishes were served customized to our preferences – less spicy, devoid of garlic etc! Taste was decent, neither homely plain jane food nor the luscious high end super rich stuff – something in between! Pair their stuff with onions and pickles to spice it up! Portions were nice, so was the presentation, quality – hygiene could have been a little better but never mind! Service was superfast and we were done with our meal in half an hour or so from the time of having entered the restaurant! Pocket pinch was acceptable! Cheers!

We went to this restaurant based on local reference. The place is a pure vegetarian restaurant. We ordered tuhar dal, kadhai paneer and tawa roti. The food quality was not good. Kadhai paneer was stale and fermented. It was sour in taste. We raised the issue to the staff but they said that this is how the dish should taste like. The chappatis were burnt and over cooked. We somehow managed to have our meal with dal which was okay. The staff wasn't courteous and cooperative. Overall, the experience wasn't good.

Coming from Kolkata, we were looking for a place to have lunch. Upon recommendation, we decided to check this place out. Location: It is located on MG Marg, Vishal Gaon, in Gangtok. It is quite easy to spot. Rating: 4.5/5 Ambience: The ambience isn't anything noteworthy. The place is clean and can accommodate around 40-50 people at one go. Rating: 3.5/5 Staff: The staff is well-behaved and the service was prompt. Rating: 4/5 Food: We tasted the following:- 1. Mattar Paneer (INR 180): This was quite spicy and thick. The quality of paneer was good and the quantity was sufficient for two people. Rating: 4/5 2. Dal Makhani (INR 150): This was not up to the mark. The Dal was watery. However, the spices were mild and decent. The quantity again was sufficient for two people. Rating: 3/5 3. Tandoori Roti (INR 25): We had 8 rotis. The rotis were freshly made and tasted good. Rating: 4.5/5 Overall, we spent INR 530 for our lunch. We would like to recommend this restaurant for those people who are fond of vegetarian food with a touch of the North Indian cuisine. #starwordsindia #foodblogging #vegfood #gangtok
