Few places buy ratings and reviews while few earn them! And The Local Cafe, Vishal Gaon, Gangtok is a café which falls in the latter category! A visit to Gangtok is incomplete without visiting them – which explains the standards set by this place! Seats here are limited, place is small to be honest but facts state that dynamites come in small packages! We visited them not once but twice during our short stay! We had their Veg laphing (dry) which was outside planet earth – the tastiest item in Gangtok! Next came Kimbap (veg) – 10 pieces of the same with healthy veg assortments and dips – fabulous! We also ordered their Brownie cake which was fine but nothing great! During our 2nd visit, we had their Barley soup (veg) – and perhaps, this was the best soup I have had in my life! We also had their hot chocolate which was served with a cute teddy design – mind blowing taste and presentation! Service was excellent and pocket pinch was reasonable, especially considering the quality, quantity, taste and overall experience! A ton of thanks to the Management for setting such high standards in the hospitality sector! Cheers!

Absolutely loved the cozy cafe and the food! I got the veg pizza, a latte, a grilled chicken pizza, a Mexican wrap & the lemon cake. It was absolutely amazing, everything was so yummy! A must visit if you’re going to MG road, Gangtok & want to grab a bite in a cute aesthetic place 💌

This cafe has 2 outlets, one in MG Marg and the other in Vajra Complex, and both the places are extremely cozy and warm. The place in Vajra is a little bigger in size. The food is amazinggg! Must try - Yellow Laphing, Pizza

This place is love. We visited the place immediately after having a horrible experience at taste of Tibet and this place proved to be such sigh of relief!

Must visit for amazing food and good service at reasonable prices, ordered coffee, mushroom soup, hot chocolate and sushi and it was yummy

I enjoyed a strong cappuccino, and it was just perfect. The ambiance was great and very inviting. You should definitely check it out!

we ate a cheesecake and a dish I don't remember the name of but it was fantastic. even the staff were well mannered and friendly.

the milkshake was loaded with sugar asked for a non veg calzone got a veg one the banana cake was okay.. not too great also the place opens at 10am not 8:30 as on here

visited this cafe after reading so many positive reviews here. but it wasn't worth the hype. we got the regular Tibetan Tea (not well prepared) and banana bread (wasn't fresh).
