If you’re planning to visit this restaurant, don’t. Seriously — save your time and money. The only thing this place gets right is its aesthetics and interiors, which I’d rate a 9/10. Beyond that, everything completely falls apart. The food is outright disappointing — bland, poorly executed, and nowhere close to the level this place pretends to be at. It’s honestly shocking how something so hyped can serve such terrible food. The staff attitude makes the experience even worse. Every employee behaves as if they’re superior to you, like they own the place and you’re somehow beneath them. Taking your order seems like a burden to them, not their job. And if you speak in Hindi, expect uncomfortable, judgmental looks — as if you don’t belong there. The menu is another letdown, especially for vegetarians — extremely limited, uninspired, and not worth the money. Vegetarians should avoid this place altogether. Overall, this restaurant is nothing but a facade — all style, no substance. Overhyped, overpriced, and filled with arrogance. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Extremely disappointing and poorly managed experience. We booked in advance for an event and paid ₹2,000 as cover charges, expecting at least basic professionalism. We reached the venue at 2 PM, which was the scheduled start time, only to be made to sit in the scorching sun for hours. The event finally began around 5:30 PM — more than three hours late. To make matters worse, once the event finally started, we were abruptly asked to vacate the table we had been seated at, claiming it was “reserved.” At no point were we informed of this, nor was there any reserved sign on the table. When we questioned this mismanagement, the staff responded rudely and offered nothing but excuses instead of solutions. For a place that brands itself as premium, this level of disorganisation, lack of communication, and unprofessional staff behaviour is unacceptable. Bastian Goa seriously needs to reassess its event planning, customer handling, and basic courtesy. Definitely not worth the hype or the money.

We paid ₹45,000 for three couples, and to our shock, the bill included 3–4 extra dishes and three non-alcoholic drinks were served and charged us for alcoholic cocktails, even the bar tender couldn’t figure out alcohol in it. It felt like outright overcharging. Despite the server clearly confirming that those items were not served, the manager took nearly an hour to correct the bill. There was absolutely no courtesy, no sense of responsibility, and no professionalism. The senior manager the French beard guy in the inside sitting area seemed completely inexperienced and incapable of handling the situation properly. For the kind of prices being charged, this level of third-class service is simply unacceptable. Highly disappointed. Definitely not recommended. -100 rating i would give!

My experience at Bastian Riviera was honestly terrible. The staff was shockingly rude and arrogant, behaving as if they were doing us a favor by letting us dine there. There were multiple empty tables right in the front, clearly visible, yet we were refused seating there for no valid reason. The attitude was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. As for the food — absolutely pathetic. Overhyped, overpriced, and nowhere near the quality they claim to offer. Very disappointing overall. Definitely not worth the money, the hype, or the attitude. Would never go back. KINDLY CHANGE YOUR BLOODY STAFF!!!

We had a confirmed reservation, yet the event was delayed by three hours. To top this up the staff’s behaviour increased our frustration. They are very rude to their customers. Additionally, the terms and conditions were not clearly communicated at the time of booking. This lack of clarity and poor customer handling made the experience very disappointing. Do yourself a favour and skip this place. Perhaps losing customers is the only way they’ll learn how to behave professionally.

Staff looks tired, unorganised and negligent. Food is average. Though interiors are good and they have maintained the bastian style but absence of hospitality makes the place very dull. Few options of cocktails. A very lifeless feel about this place. Won’t recommend.
