Bombil in Panjim, Goa, is seriously awesome! They're rocking the local Goan food, served thali-style, and throwing in all those Goan staples to make your taste buds do a happy dance. Now, let's talk service – it's spot-on! The staff is like food mind-readers, always on point and ready for whatever you're craving. The place has this chill rustic vibe, totally Goan, and I love how they get all creative by scribbling post-it notes on used crab shells. Talk about unique! Flavors? Oh, they nailed it! Every bite leaves you wanting more, and the portions are no joke – they're hefty. Plus, they're serving water in copper cups, which adds a classy touch to the whole dining vibe. Just a heads up, though – this spot fills up crazy fast. Be prepared for a 30-minute wait, but trust me, it's worth it. Bombil is the place to be for a laid-back Goan feast that hits all the right notes.

Bombil in Panjim is a place that has one of Goa’s most loved thalis, featuring items that go way beyond the bare minimum. The thali comes loaded with little treats - homemade garlic and brinjal pickles, crushed papad, chepni tor, raw cashewnut, prawn damage, dried fish…. and of course the usual prawn curry (with ladyfingers, finally!), your choice of fish, tambdi bhaji (red amaranth), tisreo sukhem and more. Move over halwa, kheer or worse, gulab jamun - because the queen of Goan desserts - the bebinca features too. Did I mention the thali also has macaroni soup? Did anyone else’s childhood involve coming back home from evening play time to a bowl of soup? This was such a nice touch! You will invariably have to wait for a table at lunch time as the place is quite small and the patrons wanting a scrumptious thali are plenty!

Bombil is a must try authentic Goan food Haven in the heart of Panjim. We were here for lunch today and traveled from Vagator only for this experience and we were not disappointed. Their Fish/prawn/beef thalis are really amazing, as is the rest of their menu. The place by itself is a cozy restaurant but serves food with heart. Service is quite quick and they always have a waiting, so get there in time!! Overall would definitely recommend to anyone who's missed this place earlier.

A great place if you're looking for seafood .The prawn and fish thalis are very good .They also have Mussels Rava Fry which is rarely available during this season .The staff too are very kind and efficient overall a great experience in the heart of Panjim .

Social Media recommendations drew us to this place and we fell in love with the vibe the moment we entered it , extremely colourful and live music was on which made the place even more vibrant Now talking about the food we ordered Prawns Thali and Chonak Thali both were pretty decent along with it we called for bangda recheado which was average and Bombil fry which was decent And lastly for desserts we called for Seradura which was good and Homemade Bibinca which was not justified to the price charged and also tasted decent One main thing about this place is the warm and beautiful staff and service is very quick also there is a custom incase you have crabs post that they wash the shell and you can write a msg on it which was pretty unique

While Bombil offers a wide variety of thalis, I felt that the quality has become inconsistent and has dipped over time. This could be due to being understaffed and the rush to serve guests quickly, which seems to have affected the overall focus

Good food but sort out your reservation and waiting process. You're now very popular. Respect guests who have travelled and give correct estimations of time.

The entire experience of eating here is killed by how rushed the service feels: the staff members always feel like they are unable to handle the number of customers. Food is way too spicy and taste is quite average. I feel there are many better places for fish thalis in Goa and I don't understand the hype around this one.
