Since 1981, Golden Oven in Mapusa has been whipping up delicious Goan local snacks and cakes, and it is absolutely the most underrated cafe in Mapusa, considering the pricing they offer! They’ve very recently introduced a fresh menu boasting a variety of sandwiches, pastas, salads, and more, all at super affordable rates! And here’s the kicker - they’ve even included gelato in their offerings! I'd highly recommend trying their Classic Brownie with Ice cream, Chicken Tikka Sandwich, and Chicken Cheese Pasta, which I feel for 140/- is super yum and cheesy. Also, don’t forget to speak to “Chef Malcolm” for additional recommendations if you’re looking for something specific; he’ll whip it up for you. Most items fall within the range of 25 to 190 at maximum, making it perfect for college students or anyone seeking extremely budget-friendly meals. The flavor and portion sizes for the price are quite decent. ✅

I tried this place and I liked it alot I tried the beef burger it was tasty I tried the doughnuts I loved it the service is quick and there is so many options the place is small but cause only 3 tables my over all experience was good I would recommend this place.

Golden Oven is one those places where you can sit or laze around with your friends for hours together. Their menu is mixed of desserts and savoury snacks with choices of cold/hot beverages. The snacks are tasty and priced reasonably. The staff is courteous and friendly. I have been here several times and they have never disappointed me.

You will find this small yet eye catching cafe right opposite the busy Mapusa market. This cafe is run by a local Goan family & has been serving the people since 1990. The cafe has a modern look with vibrant colors in their furniture & walls. They serve almost everything from Goan snacks to tea, coffee, burgers, desserts and more. A couple of months back, they have introduced a new menu alongside the existing one. Pastas, salads, sandwiches, healthy juices, gelatos are some of the many items on their new menu. Here is what all I tried at the cafe: 🔸Positive (healthy juice) Rs160/- 🔸Hawaiian chicken salad: Rs140/- 🔸Chicken penne pasta with Alfredo sauce Rs140/- 🔸Panner tikka sandwich Rs130/- 🔸Chicken burger Rs140/- 🔸Brownie Rs80/- As compared to the pricing, the food quantity served was quite impressive & everything was freshly made. The staff is very hospitable & chef ‘Malcom’ makes sure to interact with the guests and take feedback about the food which is something very commendable! I’d definitely recommend this cafe for anyone looking for tummy filling good food at reasonable prices. Also, if you are a student then you’d enjoy a 10% off on your total bill value upon showing your ID card.

Situated on the busy roads of mapusa market it is always in business. The decor is very appealing. My best friend recommended this place.. We ordered a chocolate pastry, a Puff and chicken biryani.. The chicken biryani would definitely make ur goan buds tickle. Its very much goan. The puff was delicious.. One one the bests in mapusa.. The pastry was a little disappointing. It was dry and tasted odd..The staff was friendly.. Overall a good place to visit..

The worst ever cafe I have ever been in my life. I strongly recommend a NO to visit this place. We had a simple order of 1kg fruit cake. They gave us a whole one piece of cake for 1kg and made the bill. After paying when we requested to give us 2 1/2 kg pieces instead of 1 whole 1kg, they gave us wage excuse and didn't exchange it. It was told in a very rude tone then my explanation.
