with a curiosity after hearing from my daughter, I stepped in Joeshbar and was very much in love at first site with this place. A 100 year old bar has maintained their legacy. Old clock, fan, old soda bottles and alcohol bottles, wall fully covered up with visitor's comments, this is must visit place. we have ordered Mango feni and it was really nice.Food was also very good. it is located in midst of heritage fontainhad street of Panjim and I recommend to add this as must visit place.

Please not this is not a chic point and may seem to be a bit shady to wuite a few. But Go for the vibe here. Well the ladies are welcomed here with a 🌹. The people’s lager you get it everywhere, but the vibe of having it here is different altogether. Must try the authentic chicken cafreal with poi bread. And yes never knew the Tambda Rosa ( a cocktail of fenny and kokum) can taste so good. Go for the vibe and the authentic food.

Highly exclusive place with the amount of people waiting, however the experience of sitting on the tiny stools and having a cheap drink in a 90’s bar is worth it! Dont expect great service here as it’s a small bar with limited resources but do try the suggestions from the waiter for the drinks. It’s a great experience, should visit! While you wait for the seating, you can explore around other places!

Upon the insistence of a friend, we visited this really famous bar which I wasn't aware of. I had really high expectations of the place, but looking at its size & ambience, I started having second thoughts. It's really small & dingy, with barely enough light, & takes the definition of shady to the next level. It's walls are adorned with scribblings like you'd see at some tourist attractions. As a whole, the bar can hardly seat 25 people, & they don't even have a non-smoking zone (can't expect to have it cause it's basically a small house turned into a bar). But deciding to stay was a good choice that I am glad I made.  We got ourselves a nice corner & while we waited for their kitchen to open up (happens post 7 pm only) we tried their famous TAMBDE ROSSA, a feni based cocktail with kokum juice. Saying that it was strong would be an understatement. Every sip was loaded with strong aroma & tang of the cashew feni this state is famous for, and also had the sharp sour from the kokum. It's presentation with rose petals and a lemon bit was cute and pretty.  We were determined to have their PORK RIBS, so after a waiting for almost an hour, the dish finally arrived! 2-3 huge chunks of pork meat in barbeque sauce, with some customary salad on the side. It was cooked to perfection, with the meat simply sliding off the bones and melting in your mouth. The BBQ sauce gave a sweet flavour to it, which I personally liked, but others didn't.  We also tried their PRAWN RESOSIS & VEG. DANGAR, whatever they mean. It was basically like a cutlet.  Overall it was a nice experience, but I still don't get the hype this place has created on social media. It feels the majority of their customers are tourists, who visit just to post about it on social media! But hey, whatever sails your boat right!  Also, for some reason they don't accept cards or any form of online payments. It's strictly cash, and that can be an issue especially when you are all tipsy and with a full stomach! Happy Burping!!!

Tambde rosa is a must try which was really good! However I didn’t like the chicken cafreal much. The chicken was uncooked and the Goan bread was not fresh. I also tried their paneer chilly which was pathetic. Never ever make a mistake of ordering it. Overall it was a good experience but I feel it’s not that worth the hype. Found this place way too expensive!

The waiter(blue shirt) is very rude, no manners at all to how to behave with customers, very arrogant, he’s like a chameleon changes according to indian v/s foreigners, overall bottled beers n food were good. But their cocktail were disappointing, but the place and ambiance (vintage themed) very good takes back to olden days. Don’t expect hospitality from the waiter he’s pathetic.

A guy named Richard actually tried to stab my friend. The management did nothing to intervene and it was really scary. Do not visit this place it is very unsafe
