A classic place, opposite to deep ocean at Agauda fort complex. Restaurant offers coffe and tea based beverages including beers and mocktails Food is beyond words, and good enough to suit the vibe and ambience, sufficient to elevate your mood and make your moments very special and memorable

very mixed feelings about the experience. The location is fantastic, and the food is genuinely good, albeit with a limited menu. However, the staffing situation is perplexing and significantly impacts the overall experience. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the restaurant is understaffed. Only one person was handling multiple roles: welcoming guests, making drinks, taking orders, and preparing bills. This would be somewhat understandable in regions with staffing shortages, but in India, it was quite unexpected. We were the only guests from 1 to 3:30 PM, raising questions about whether the lack of staff is due to poor business or if few patrons visit because of the inadequate staffing. There was no one to welcome us, and we had to search for the staff ourselves. The staff seemed unaware of important details, such as parking fee waivers and entry regulations communicated by security guards. Additionally, there was no tea or coffee menu available. When we asked about it, the staff member asked us to come inside for an explanation before placing an order. This is far from the typical restaurant experience where a menu is provided for everything and different staff members handle various responsibilities like serving, bartending, and billing. In summary, while the food is good and the location is excellent, the lack of proper staffing and service structure makes for a confusing and less-than-ideal dining experience. I hope the restaurant can address these issues because it has great potential.

Situated within the historic 17th-century Aguad, Motley Brew is a Manual Brew Cafe that offers a captivating ocean view. Upon entering, you are greeted by an impressive Tasting Table adorned with syphons, chemex, french press, aeropress, and pour overs, each utilizing bespoke grinds and roasts. This unique cafe takes pride in serving a wide range of coffees, teas, and tisanes, guaranteeing a special brew for every individual palate. One of the highlights is the opportunity to sample most of their brews, allowing you to find your perfect match. I headed over for their first brunch experience called Grill and Chill, which offered packages ranging from Rs 999 to 499, each comprising of a small selection of items and a dessert. We tried the grilled prawns, omelette and chicken and mustard sandwich, but they also had options of grilled chicken, burgers and pancakes. The 999 options (especially the second package) should have more options as I found one sandwich and one dessert too little for that price point, - especially since, for a few hundred bucks more, you can avail of a buffet elsewhere. ⭐ If you're planning to visit, take advantage of the free entry (waived Rs 200 per person for entering the Aguad complex) and parking fee (Rs 100 deducted from your bill when booking in advance) for a hassle-free experience.
