Food was absolutely amazing. Lovely beef guisado and rochadi kodi. Crispy sardines were super crunchy and fresh. Keep lots of time in hand when you visit, they make everything fresh so the waiting time is quite long.

Although the restaurant was empty, there was delay in food coming to table. Food was also okay,not what we had expected.

absolutely not worth the price. service is so so slow and careless that it borders on apathy. how can a server need 2 reminders to get a bottle of beverage and take mins to do so. this is with just two tables occupied. however the other being filled with foreign guests I guess deserved more attention. Food portion was v measly, no accompaniments, nothing. taste was ok. 34 mins to serve a starter....at 8pm and as I said earlier, only two tables occupied ! owner should keep someone to supervise service, great location but bad experiences

The poi (local Goan bread) was not fresh. It was stale, just reheated. When I said this to the waitress, she said it was fresh. We’ve eaten at mum’s kitchen at least 1/2 a dozen times in many years (every time we visit Goa, we come here). The service is great as always, and the curries were outstanding. I was disappointed only with the stale poi - it was a bit crumbly, not fluffy as always.

very low on quantity and service not worth the money charged and even after complaining not a favourable response really a bad experience over all only 2 stewards struggling to keep the order going and the lady at the counter is really not bothered about what the customer has to say

This was our first time visiting Goa...and looking forward to a vegetarian Goan food experience. Walking into Mum's kitchen, the ambiance and the pretty garden up front built up expectations. The Ruby Red drink and the kokum drink were good and so were the bamboo cutlets. But after that everything went downhill. Exotic mix veg were a few pieces of potatoes, beet and 3 florets of cauliflower trying to stay afloat in a bowl full of watery xacuti gravy. Angry red brinjal vindaloo probably was enraged at the lack of salt in it. The cabbage foogath lay limply in its bowl. Of the 2 bowls of Goan rice ordered, only one was served. The other was changed to steamed Jasmine rice without asking our opinion of the same. I think the tasteless food and the slow service ensured us that maybe Goan vegetarian food is a unicorn that we're chasing. Over the period of 90 minutes (yes, that's the amount of time taken by them to take order and serve) all the smiling faces on the table turned to grumpy ones. The management`s response? A very tepid apology.
