I visited this café upon a friend's strong recommendation. It's a lovely, quaint place. May look small but it's like Hermione's bag ... in the form of a magical café. There's space for everyone. The servers and everyone else behind the counter are kind, polite, helpful and exceptionally courteous. I was immediately given a perfect seat near the window, and I sat there delighted with my notebook to scribble a bit. The kind server told me how to place my order, and the cashier told me to first eat before paying. I was worrying I would walk out while forgetting to pay but he waved me off with a smile to go and have a seat. It was a gorgeously peaceful place despite being full and despite the music playing in the background. Ah! And the beef brisket! Oh, one should write songs about it. It is sublime. Exquisite. It may look of average size but what a form of perfection it is. Tender, juicy, melts-in-the-mouth yet with an ideal texture, and with just the perfect balance of all flavours. It was so astonishingly good - I promptly went back to the counter to request one to be packed, even before I had finished the fantastic beef brisket sandwich of delight that I had ordered. I had the famed pasteis da nata. I wish I had packed, at least, one of those too. And I packed one baileys berliner, which is devilishly delicious, and one cinnamon sugar one - which was perfect with my morning coffee. The bottled kombucha - I got the Ginger ade - was perfect too. The cashier was so kind as to give me change for Rs 500 in 50 rupee notes. I realised while leaving with my goodies all boxed and neatly packed in a paper carry bag that one could smoke in the quaint outdoor seating area. When I asked one of the kind waiters whether I could (although I had officially finished my meal and had no business hanging around occupying a seat) - he said it was perfectly fine. And so I had a nice, relaxed smoke out there with my thanks to the Lord. What a superb place and what fantastic people. I am so happy that my good friend recommended this place as soon as he knew I was going to be visiting Dona Paula. God Bless the entire team at Padaria Prazeres. Thank you for an enchanting experience.

I had such a delightful experience at this charming bakery in the heart of the city. The moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and delicious aromas made me feel instantly at ease. After a rather disappointing meal at a Japanese restaurant that shall remain nameless, I was hoping for something special, and this place did not disappoint. I arrived around 4:45 PM, just as many of the baked goods were sold out, but there were still plenty of treats to choose from, including the signature pastel de nata, a few cakes, and hearty main plates. I was looking for a quiet spot to read, unwind, and savor a moment of peace – and thankfully, this bakery delivered on all fronts. I found a cozy seat by the window, where I could watch the world go by while sipping on a flat white and indulging in more than my fair share of pastel de natas. The staff were incredibly welcoming, with cheerful smiles and just the right balance of friendly attentiveness without hovering. Pushkar, in particular, was so kind, sharing interesting tidbits about Goa, the bakery’s history, and the best way to enjoy a pastel de nata – sprinkling cinnamon over that rich, buttery tart was a game-changer. Honestly, it might be the best pastel de nata I’ve had and certainly the best in India. I also really appreciated the thoughtful service. At one point, I stood up looking for a plug point, and without me even asking, Rachel immediately came over to help. It's this kind of intuitive, thoughtful hospitality that speaks volumes about their values. I was able to read and relax in peace without anyone rushing me or checking in too frequently. And to be honest, with food this good, you’ll be ordering on your own when you’re ready. The decor was equally well thought out, creating a cozy, inviting space that added to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be back – hats off to Chef Ralph, Stacey, and the entire team for creating such a lovely atmosphere. Pushkar and Rachel are definitely the faces I’ll look forward to seeing next time. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

There are places you walk into where the first thing you notice isn’t the food, but the air of competence. Padaria Prazeres is one of them. No fuss, no chaos, no unnecessary showmanship—just the quiet hum of a place that knows exactly what it’s doing. The food? Subtle. That word gets thrown around a lot, but here it means something. Flavors that don’t scream at you, they lean in and whisper. A bread that has depth without heaviness. A pastry that doesn’t coat your mouth in sugar but makes you sit back and smile because someone, somewhere, cared enough to do it right. It’s restraint—an art form most kitchens never quite master. Service here is almost unnervingly smooth: immediate without being hovering, polite without being plastic. The kind of professionalism that feels effortless, which of course means it’s anything but. Someone has drilled, managed, and trained a team to make it look this natural. The whole place radiates cleanliness, precision, pride. In a world where corners are cut and mediocrity is the default, Padaria Prazeres stands as proof that you can run a place with dignity, with high standards, without losing warmth. I walked out in awe. Not just of the food—though the food was extraordinary in its quiet way—but of the discipline and humanity behind it. This isn’t just a bakery. It’s a reminder of what happens when craft and care meet.

The sandwiches were excellent. We ordered the Cubano (pork and mustard) and a roast chicken sandwich (in a ciabatta). For sides, we had the cheese Berliner and milk chocolate brioche. The best thing was the garlic cream cheese knot. It was from heaven.

Must visit when in Goa… Everything off the menu is too good. Very soft, fluffy and buttery breads. We had the cream cheese berliner, garlic cheese berliner, pain de suisse and cream cheese focaccia with veggies.

A whole in the wall cafe, bakery, but a fantastic find. I am glad I bumped into this place. It was serendipity. I strongly recommend the carrot walnut cake. The pesto cheese and tomato sandwich and the fried savory cream cheese donuts. the sticky toffee is nice and the cinnamon roll.is good too. only let down was the blueberry muffin which was slightly raw on the inside. not gooey but doughy raw but i can overlook that coz everything else absolutely rocked. The #Coffee is to.die for and thats coming from.someone who has a great sense for coffee. Must visit when in Panjim #Goa

Cute spot, very iconic cafe vibes. Service was quick enough, however quite sad that their specials are only available on the weekends. Great toast made with quality bread, however the coffee was bleak and avoidable. Overall, pricey on the pocket, but a good spot to have a good brunch.
