As someone who travels to Goa often, I can honestly say I’ve found my forever spot - my little home kitchen away from home. We dined here 5 out of the 7 days of our trip, which says it all! We tried almost everything on the menu - pork, beef, chicken, seafood — and every single dish tasted like it was cooked with genuine love and care. Desserts and drinks deserve their own moment: the homemade chikoo ice cream and caramel custard were pure comfort, and the Urak Cocktail and Brazilian Lemonade Mocktail are absolute must-haves. What truly makes PJ’s special, though, are the people. If you’re unsure what to order, just tell Aunty Nella what you’re craving and trust her — she’ll never steer you wrong. Uncle Glen crafts wonderful cocktails and mocktails, Nelson is always up for a warm chat and great recommendations, and Ankit quietly makes sure everything runs smoothly at your table. I also love that PJ’s supports local talent. They showcase beautiful, thoughtfully upcycled bags by a local lady — all pocket-friendly and perfect as unique keepsakes. If I had to pick a few must-tries: * Prawns Butter Garlic * Surmai Rawa Masala * Beef Roast * Sausage Pulav * Urak Cocktail * Brazilian Lemonade Mocktail The service is seamless, the food is a solid 15/10, and the entire space feels warm and welcoming — like a hug you’ll want to come back to. And trust me, you will.

If i could give this place any more stars, i would. The best overall place i’ve been to, in Goa in a very long time. The people here, from the servers to the owners are absolutely the sweetest, most welcoming people ever. Had the pleasure of eating here two nights in a row, and Nella aunty was absolutely perfect in her recommendations, made us feel like home and even joked around with us like we were part of her family. The food was just 10/10, one of the best butter garlic prawns i’ve ever eaten, and the crab was fresh, straight from the market hand-picked by aunty herself. I cannot recommend this place enough. I really feel like whoever comes to Goa, must eat at least one meal if not more, at Papa Joe’s. It’s the perfect blend of homeliness, amazing food, and a feeling of relaxation.

Nella and Francis welcomed us so warmly and went on to design our entire meal. Amazing, hearty and honest food. I loved the prawn curry , and chicken xacuti. This is food from the heart and cooked to perfection. I am coming back for more for sure! Oh and the simple, unpretentious yet charming homely vibe is just perfect backdrop for the stunning food! …. Best food ever

The place is homely with friendly and proactive owners who run the restaurant. It's a beautiful set up to chill with friends and family and let your hair down. We ordered the suramai fish thali which is enough for one person unless you're a small eater then you can share it . The rawa fry and butter garlic prawns didn't really appeal to us so much. However the sausage pulao and the crum fired beef is a definitely must try, it's delicious.

So we went around the lunch time. The mentioned they don’t have anything apart from Goan fish thali(which they said they have started serving recently). I am fond of goan thalis and they are my go to meal whenever I am in Goa. And thus I have had many Goan thalis. The thali they served was not just the worst thali but the worst food I have tasted in Goa. 80% of the items in the thali were almost inedible. On top of that portion of everything in thalis was not adequate to feed a person. Even the fried king fish, was so small that you could call it peasant fish. And when I asked for another serving of just curry they said they don’t serve extra serving. When I asked how am I supposed to eat rest of the meal without any curry, they started giving gyaan on how to eat a goan thali. Seriously? Thali which costs 360 Rs, I expect it to be adequate enough to feed at least one person. But even that’s too much to ask here. Go to this place only if you want to taste regret and that too at highly inflated price

Below average. Overpriced. Dull. We tried the batter fried squid. It was so bad, very salty. The rechado potato was half done. Prawn curry rice.. I’ve had such good ones in smaller restaurants. This was such a flavourless dish. Zero effort put in the quality.
