Last Friday I was at this place with the rustic atmosphere of a Local Goan Tavern called @thevillagebistrogoa in Arpora. They’ve recently re-launched their Friday nights called Voodstock Fridays with rock and roll music. The bar rates are super affordable for a pub and bistro in North-Goa. Loved the tavern vibes with people from across continents indulging in the exquisite food. Swipe through the pictures to see some of the dishes I’d personally recommend. The Harissa Chicked was flavourful and succulent. Never thought I’d be ok with pineapple on my food but it went really well with the juices from the pan friend pork shoulder. The grilled Mackerel was roasted to perfection. The Beef & Onion was served with one of my favourite sauces - Chimichuri. The stuffing of the spinach and mushroom was a bit dry in the Roast Chicken. Some cream cheese would really elevate the dish. The rib eye man, the perfect medium rare. The steward said that a lot of Indians complain about how it’s not cooked 😂. Squid was well cooked and super tasty. My knife kind cut trough it like butter. The fruit tart too was mighty tasty. All in all it was not the just a great dinning experience but the local tavern vibes make it a great place to just hang out, grab a drink, even solo tbh. There’s no other place you should be on a Friday in North-Goa 💯 #TGIF 🍻

We had a memorable time at this laid-back gem in Arpora! Impeccable service, delicious cocktails, and outstanding food made our evening truly unforgettable. Sigmund and Keanu de Souza's lively music act, featuring classic favorites and country tunes, with occasional interludes about Goa's storied history, not only kept us engaged but also got everyone up and dancing in no time. Thanks for a delightful experience! Recommend their House special Infused Gin Cocktails, Beef and Onion Chimmichurri, Quesadillas and Tiramisu Jars for Dessert!

I walked in with a friend and was well received by the staff. We ordered the beet root salad and the beef meat balls and both were very well made. The ambience was quite cozy. The view from the restaurant was enchanting. All those looking for a slight change in their taste palette, this restaurant is your go to place. Highly recommended.

The Village Bistro serves ‘European Classics with Modern Interpretations” The bistro is split into two levels: the bar and grill downstairs, and a dedicated wine bar upstairs serving impressive selection of Wines. We absolutely loved the cocktails here too. For more follow us on Instagram @forkingmumbai

What a little gem for hard core carnivores! The food was amazing as was the service, everything we ordered was excellent, the little touches that include terracotta, glazed crockery to little messages under the coaster and the location all add up to make this a must visit again restaurant!

Had a super Friday night with 2 top guitarist of Goa playing together. Great bar bites and selection of alcohol at reasonable pricing. Will definitely visit again to try their main course. The service boys are very sweet aswell. Do try the place out.

A very different menu from anything you will see in Goa. A very refreshing change. You will leave the place wanting more and waiting to return. Great views of the fields and mountains. Even more beautiful in the rains. Highly recommend this place

Very nice location and professional staff. Interesting European menu. All the dishes we had were very well prepared. Slightly pricy though.
