We had been to Gokarna on a 4 day trip. This was the most memorable trip and all the credit goes to zostel for making our stay comfortable and to mantra cafe to make our tummies comfortable! First things first, THE VIEW! From the restaurant in zostel(mantra cafe) Is realy breathtaking. Sitting in the restaurant just listening to the waves and having a good meal is already a good start to your day! This was during diwali and there was a dj night being conducted. The first night was a quiz night followed by musical chairs, the second night was a karaoke night which was super funnn!! They had brought in a dj Mr. Aravind Sankar who kept the entire crowd glued to the event! We met a lot of new people and made some good friends! The ambience is super super welcoming and makes you feel like home no matter what the weather is! Every little detail is well thought and put together into the favour of the guests and customers! Their menu is just the right size and covers all of your palette. Our most ordered dishes were chicken sizzlers, paneer sizzler, peanut masala, masala papad, the veg thali, chilly chicken and fried rice. These dishes really stand out in terms of taste, decor and aroma! Also their beverage selection is pretty damn good, all sorts of mocktails that kinda make you forget about the cocktails 😁!! The entire staff of the team are so very friendly and accommodate you right from the time you enter the property, very down to earth people and humble with their service. I would personally like to thank the manager Mr Surjeet Singh for taking good care of us and helping us with whatever we needed! He always put his best foot forward and never made us feel like we missed a thing! He guided us with places around to see and also places where you get good seafood! Also would like to thank Mr Bharath for letting us stay an extra night as a member of our group wasn’t feeling well. They took real good care of us. The service and kitchen staff are super sweet and humbling. They put in all their love when serving you! ❤️ Our diwali and the trip would not have been complete without zostel and their entire team! I would totally recommend this place to anybody visiting Gokarna, to experience best in class food, stay and their people!

Whether or not you’re staying at Zostel, this is a great budget friendly option to head out to in Gokarna for a quick bite! Keep in mind their timings, they open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a limited menu but I think that’s what makes the food so good. For breakfast, we have sunny side up and Mexican open toast with milk coffee. The toast was mouth watering and delicious! Would give it a 5/5! Sunny side up was sprinkled with loads of paprika, just how I like it - perfect 5/5. Coffee that will wake you up to kick start a day! 5/5. We also had their aloo parathas but you can give that a miss and try something else instead, they were slightly bland however a loaded quantity - 4/5 for the parathas! The cafe witnesses a view of the whole Gokarna beach and has a separate smoking zone which serves only beer! The vibe at night is magical where people play guitar, socialise and unwind themselves in the beauty of Gokarna! They also serve great pizzas, pastas, sizzlers and biryanis at a very reasonable price! Do try them out! Highly recommended!

Limited options on the menu. However, you can be assured of the best of quality food served with care. Must try: Aglio e olio pasta; Aloo tadka; The Cafe is located on a hill overlooking the beach which is an added bonus

I had my breakfast at this place when I was staying in Zostel Gokarna. The cafe is available for dine-in for outsiders as well who are not staying in Zostel. The cafe has a really nice aerial view of the Gokarna Main Beach. The staff were also very courteous. I had a nutella chocolate chip pancake here and the taste was really nice. It was quite chocolaty and sweet. I had a pretty good meal at this place.

It's a small cafe on the hill top giving you beat view. Since I was super hungry and it was late noon we t for chicken thali. Food was decent. I felt evenings are much better to spend at this cafe with beer, view and snacks to munch on with your friends. Staff tend to forget the order need to keep reminding.

I thought the food was great and reasonably priced. Many people here just to get high. But I was with family as well as a few more tables. Everyone minding their own business . Small but menu is to the point.

Staff had to be repeatedly called to take orders. Food was average, drink options very less, no cold drinks or mocktails available.

Food was overrated, everything was very oily, pizza was made with ready base, food not worth the hype But ambience and music was good

During our Gokarna trip, we decided to visit Mantra Cafe, but getting there was a bit challenging due to the road conditions – lots of potholes and slippery patches, especially for those on two-wheelers. The property itself is spacious and connected to a Zostel. However, I found the food to be rather average; we tried the Prawns, Pizza, and Butter Chicken, but none of them stood out as exceptional. Given the abundance of cheaper and tastier food options in Gokarna, I would suggest exploring other places for a better experience. That being said, the ambience at Mantra Cafe is quite pleasant, with features like a pool table, ample seating, and a well-executed lighting setup. If you visit during the daytime, you'll be treated to a superb view. While I wouldn't recommend it specifically for food enthusiasts, it could still be worth a visit for its ambiance and setting. 😁

I was here with 6 of my cousins and the service and staff there is horrible. They have table of 4 where the view of ocean can be seen. Everyone around us had ajdusted chairs and put 6 chairs on table of 4 but when we asked them if can do the same they denied and when I confronted about the situation to the management, he was very rude and quoted "people here wait for 1 hour." And the solution to our situation was they gave us a table in a corner while the table we wanted way empty. Idk where this biasedness came from but I won't visit here and will never recommend people to go there as well. I know you guys have aced the game but you mantra cafe people should know how to treat people.
