Best place to get a glimpse of the Assam and the culture of Assamese people thru their live performance of songs, Sattriya dance, Bihu Dance, etc. This joint is a unique tourist attractions of Guwahati. People from outside Assam must visit it for getting a feel of the mighty Brahmaputra and it's beauty. They will take a short round of the Brahmaputra river for approx 2 hours. Good for locals also for getting plunged into the rich culture of Assam amidst the hustle-bustle of the city life. Dinner Cruise is recommended as it is encompasses both the safari and good tasty dinner served at the ship. Buffet Food is good and is inclusive in the Package. Liquor is little bit on the costlier side because of the added Taxes. So decide accordingly. Please take your superiors who have visited Guwahati for the first time and someone special to you on some special day. For the operator, to expand the business please coordinate with Govt of Assam, Tourism Dept for expanding the business and provide diversity of opportunity to tourist for exploring the beautiful state of Assam and it's Waterways. Thanks for the service.

Ordered Beer, Triple Sunset Mocktail and Dry Chilli Chicken. Service was fast and food was good. Ambience was great during sunset.

Alfresco Grand is floating restaurant which also provides river cruise in the river Brahmaputra every evening and also on Sunday afternoons. It's basically a medium sized ship which has been modified as a restaurant! I have been to this ship a few times and I must admit that the ride has always been memorable.... Review- Food- the menu is decent with various snacks, Chinese and Indian themed food items. They have lunch buffet on Sundays where they serve Assamese thalis. They have full bar menu and price of drinks is similar to most bars in the city. It's preferable to order food little ahead ...as it takes little time. Overall decent quality food...nothing exceptional. Costs are moderate to slightly high. Ambience- the ambience is superb, the river cruise is a very good experience. They have some cultural programme also in the boat with live music and dance etc. Overall it was a good experience! Service- was good. Do book your tickets before hand as the ship gets full sometime! It's a good option if u wanna have a river cruise while enjoying your drinks and snacks and some live music in the middle of the Brahmaputra.. don't think much about the main course out here!

This one is the place I have visited from the very 1st day of beginning...from than it has changed and improved in many things. 1st the ambience..aah!! I love their sun set cruise..you can actually enjoy your food while witnessing the colourful portrait the sun mades in the sky..the sunset..mighty river Brahmaputra flowing down..the cool breeze..you are going to love them if you love nature.the sunset cruise starts at 5:30 and the dinner cruise at 7:30. (for one our each one)Now the food..i have tried many items there and the food is decent. I love their crispy potatoe fries specially. I used to like their special mocktal..bt now i don't like them according to my last three visit..they play nice music at their dance floor.. If you live in the city or you are a tourist you must try this one for sure.. Some handful tips: :-) # go for their sunset cruise and buy tickets for sun deck..(which is the top most floor with open sky) #book your ticket in advance and be in time..otherwise they will cancel yours. #if you are a dance maniac like me dn hit the dance floor..😁 #for 1st floor it's 200/person For sun deck (top floor) it's 250/person

Iv been for both the evening and the dinner cruise and both are amazing!! Charges are 1200 for dinner and 450 for evening cruise. Alcohol is served but an extra charge is levied, around 220 rs a beer!! Service is good, ambience is great!! Its a must try for anyone visiting guwahati. Dinner cruise serves nonveg n veg buffet at the same price, buffet is pretty decent!! Cheers!!

Rather than a restaurant, it basically known for a perfect cruise on Brahmaputra. Nice ambience with good music. You can just sit and enjoy with your soulmates over a coffee or a glass of beer at the time of sunset or dinner. Nice food with good service. Try to book upper deck for sunset cruise.

This was the first stop for us while our visit to Guwahati. And it truly lives up to the hype. It's a Brahmaputra river cruise, along with food and live music with a small 15-20 mins dj session too. The river cruise in itself is worth it. Must try- Simba beer for different taste.

I was in the dinner cruise on 27th January 2019, and I was not at all satisfied with the service. The cultuaral programmes were dull, had to wait a long time for the dinner buffet to get served. The food was good, but not upto the mark for that price range. The staffs should be more polite with the guests.

Tandoori roti was so thick, double the size of tawa roti. Lemon soda at Rs 200 is not at all worth it. Mixed vegetable curry had only chilly powder and raw potato taste. The roadside dhabba on the Shillong Highway was much much better.

We went for the dinner cruise expecting it to be a unique experience. The ambience is pathetic with bad lighting. The menu is equally deplorable. We were served bread pakoras and onion rings with an orange mocktail (which tasted like fanta). The spread was limited and vegetarian food was bland in taste. The cultural program was also below par. Will not advice anyone who is looking for a romantic experience to ever take this cruise. The only positive were the cool breeze over the Bramhaputra.
