Decided to visit the Oktoberfest the other evening. It was kind of a disappointment because the word "fest" was a bit misleading I felt. We, anyway, decided to hit the bar. Ordered for some beers and a platter which consisted of 2 fish and 1 chicken starter. The crunchy fried fish fillets were amazing. Then we thought of ordering for something from the Oktoberfest menu and we decided on the barbeque sausages. Unfortunately, it wasn't as appealing as the name. The sausages were only sauteed and served with bbq sauce on the side. That exactly wasn't the picture I had in my mind. The service timing for the last dish was also too long of compared to the method of preparation used. However, a big fat thumbs up for the ambience, Ms. Esther for the songs and special thanks to Mr. Sharma for the wonderful service and also the repetitive refiling of the popcorn jar.

We went malt and I ordered for sangria the cocktail was very amazing made by Mr. Sharma. And we really like the service and hospitality. We like the non veg platter but barbeque sausage from the Oktoberfest was not up-to the mark

Summary: Nice, quiet bar to catch up with friends Ambiance: 3/5 Dark, cosy and minimalist. Comfortable chairs, although too deep (back is too far behind). Music strictly acts as background and doesn’t interfere normal conversation. Reminds you of “bars” of yore. Food: 4/5 The finger food is really good. Forgot the name, but had chicken on toasted bread - absolutely brilliant! Clean in execution and taste. LIIT was done right. Value for money 2.5/5 Four guys, one drink each and one finger food and a bill of almost 3 k. Still worth it, if you like the ambiance and the food - like we did Hygiene: 4/5 Does justice to the Novotel brand name Do visit if you want to catch up with someone over nice food, drinks and a soothing ambiance.

cockroaches crawling on my pizza and other dishes. that was disgusting. otherwise, it's a fine place with good people. I can't drink without food. nothing was done when I complained.

Went to the Malt today, i.e, 14th of Feb, and had a shitty experience. The place had just 2-3 people, who were drunk, smoking right on the table, playing shitty music and passing comments on my girlfriend. A place like Novotel should atleast maintain it's decency. Walked out right away. The Malt Guwahati is shit on levels I've never come across.

it was a totally pathetic experience. when my bill came i was overcharged by 370 rs for an item i never ordered. then the manager apologised and my credit card was swiped twice for the same bill. i ended up paying rs. 742 two times for the same bill. completely unhappy with this treatment and would never recommend this hotel
