The GM of Taj Vivanta Guwahati, Mr. Ashwini Anand is incredible and along with him the hospitality of his peerless team is worth mentioning. Mr. Ranvijay -Assistant F&B Manager , Mr. Ranjan -Restaurant Manager, Mr. Debashish and Mr. Prabir -F&B Associates are extremely warm, kind and brilliant with their assistance towards their guests. The way they interacts with the guests most likely contribute to their attributions of being great and likeable. They make sure that all their guests are treated with utmost care. These hotel professionals set the tone of the entire experience that the guests will get from any one of the restaurants at Vivanta, Gau. Extraordinarily good services, lively ambience, peppy and soothing music is what you can expect from Octave at Vivanta. Not to forget the quality of the food has improved. Clean and hygienic ambience guaranteed. Overall an exquisite dining experience for me and my friends on my recent two visits .

The legacy and the culture is so well maintained here. You dont to see the review or write one just the name Taj is enough and it says all it has. The are all for you. Nice is juat a brief description of they treat you with. Start with the entrance till you are out... You are the most important guest they have!!! Best wishes .. Great time .. Great place.. Great place for fine-dining. The environment is superb. Staff are so polite and they take care of all your needs. Fancy food with a big menu to select from. Food is totally up the mark. 👍

Octave is the bar situated on the ground floor of Hotel Vivanta by Taj, khanapara. Visited the place recently and I was very happy with the classy and peaceful ambience of the place. Review- Food- Octave is essentially a bar and the food menu comprises of some bar snacks only. But they do serve you foods from their sister restaurant Seven, if u ask them. The bar menu is quite impressive with many of their own signature cocktails & mocktails...I was amazed to see a rock/heavy-metal themed cocktails section on the menu! We tried few variety of wines, cocktails and bourbon whiskey...rates are little high. They also provide unlimited complementary snacks. We tried Octave special pepper chicken ....it was decent. Fish fingers were served with french fries and mayo dip...it was also decent. Overall food is quite average....for the price. Ambience- the ambience and privacy of the bar is the main selling point of this place! Sitting arrangements are awesome with nice comfortable sofas and seats. They have outdoors​ sitting arrangement also....which we found to be very pleasant and good for smoking also! I must admit it's one of the most relaxing bars I have visited recently. Service- service is superb. Right from the start...the staff will try to make you feel special and serve you with a smile. They also try their best providing the much needed privacy...in midst of important discussions! Must give full marks for the awesome hospitality. N.B- they have some ladies day special events on Friday evenings...with some coupons that costs around ₹600, they give free unlimited complementary cocktails/mocktails. It gets bit crowded...some people might like it...but if you like peace and solitude....better avoid on Friday evenings! Octave is a good option if u want to treat yourself and your close ones for special occasions in a cool, peaceful place with some nice drinks. It also maybe a good choice of place for some informal corporate deals...or it might also be a great option to just... impress people!

Octave is always a choice for a classy and peaceful environment. The staff at Octave are very polite and friendly. They take care of your customised demands on the taste of food ordered. Outdoor seating is awesome with greenery around.

The club is relatively small however the open area makes up for it. Service is fast and the food is good too. The place is really lit on Saturdays so you are good to go!

Great Vibe, good food, nice presentation and overall the crowd is good too which makes visits to this place not limited to just one. Hygiene and sanitation is in proper place which is always a plus.
