To Enjoy Food you need Good Food.... To Relish Food you need a story and a Culture backing up... One of the best place to enjoy some traditional Finger Food, traditional Banana leaf, a Cultural fest of Telugu( TG & AP) and some South Hitters served in The Newly Opened Hotel @babai hotel in Secunderabad. People say how can you eat with Hands or Fingers.... There is a scientific reason behind it... Our tradition way of eating food is with Hands to make sure all or most of our senses are activated..... The best sense to be activated is Smelling and touching... That's why while drinking we echo it the word Cheers to make sure our ears get the feel of it.... The Newly opened babai hotel is lovely to visit with family with pocket friendly Thali or meals.... The place has that touch you feel there is more to it in that food... A good traditional Place now serving good Telugu Food for the people in and around.... Thanks and all the best,Venu Bulusu Babai Bhojanam.

Babai Bhojanam at P. G Road - Lunch today! Happened to cross this place in P. G Road called Babai Bhojanam and I remembered seeing this place in Punjagutta after we get out of movies ๐where meals are served on a banana leaf. Having never visited that place I instinctively stepped in. Colorful decor filled with framed local weaver designs to oil paintings to very comfortable seating. I got welcomed by half a dozen people and I wondered if it was open, then they told it opened today and I was their first customer ๐ The amount of attention with 2 managers, 2 waiters standing around me made me feel like a diplomat ๐ Quickly ordered their Mana bhojanam (thali) and wanted to taste their offerings. Gongura pappu was the pappu today and it was pretty good. The majjiga pulusu was also lovely. The Sambar was a little on the sweeter side but the pepper rasam which is served as a welcome drink hits you strong. A small butta (basket) of fryums with curd chillies is served and you are all set. With everything served on the banana leaf except those small katoris which are default placed for convenience - they have the usual pickles /Kandi pappu powder too as part of the table accompaniments. Some small feedback about the rasam was passed on but had a hearty meal. If you are in the busy PG road area you have a place to have banana leaf meals in leisure ๐. Will try out their other specialities soon. Hope they maintain their standards of freshness and enthrall their audience in Secunderabad well. All the best to them! โน170. (for a couple of days their PoS isn't active so cash only transaction)

Having heard lot about their restaurant at Punjagutta, didn't think twice when I saw this PG Road branch, much closer to home. Dropped in on a Sunday for lunch, a moderate crowd - perhaps people in this part are yet to know this place. Only the lift to second floor restaurant is crampy; but the restaurant has amble seating. Has nice decoration using pulses and grains. Food is good, very good. Rasam is offered as welcome drink, and it kind of prepare for the meal ahead. Standout item was usili (amla) curry, and chapalu pulusu, which we ordered as add-on, was tangy, rightly spiced. We were taken care by an attentive crew. All in all,.highly recommended.

I was a regular at the Babai Bhojanam at Punjagutta. The food standards have dropped considerably and below average food is now being served now. The quality of rice was really bad and the curries served were tasteless. This is a real disappointment for someone who has been a regular. Since the Punjagutta branch shutdown I visited the PG road branch. Despite the bad reviews about the place decided to visit to give them a fair chance. Totally disappointed and this was my last visit. The owner was available at the restaurant but was eating lunch or else would have personally shared my feedback.

The food quality has drastically degraded. The pulav we ordered was dry without any masala, it felt like flavored rice. The quality and taste was worse. One time we got the rice bag thread in our rice and the manager did not even respond properly to that, but my father let it go because he said this mistake could happen to anyone. Half of the time they do not have the dishes on the menu. We waited for half n hour for our food on our last visit. The prices have increased and the taste and quality was decreased. Atleast if you increase the prices give better food. It was good in the starting and we used to love coming there but the food taste and quality is getting worse. It is very disappointing to eat such food when you expect something better from this restaurant.

BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL FOR QUALITY AND SERVICE I am not exaggerating anything here, i had one of the worst meals here in my life. Andhra meals most impressive aspect is white rice and they have served a third grade improperly cooked rice which became so heavy and we had to ignore the entire meal. None out of 7 has enjoyed the lunch. Even a road side hotel or andhra mess will serve a quality food than them. Adding to that ladies who serve food cant hear properly we need to ask 3-4 times for any thing as if we are begging. They are fit for nothing.. this all happened when only 3 tables are filled with guest.. imagine u will have nightmares if the hotel is occupied with 50% crowd.. A BIG NO TO THIS HOTEL JUST FOR THE SAKE OF UR HEALTH AND STOMACH..
