Order: Methi Chaman It’s been quite a few times that i have ordered Methi Chaman from this restaurant. This is a delicious dish consisting of minced paneer(cottage cheese) and methi(fenugreek leaves). It tastes great and a full pack can serve 3-4 people. Was looking forward to a family restaurant for dinner with my family – amidst the Abids neighbourhood of Hyderabad and luckily discovered this restaurant - Shree Santosh Family Dhaba! Went inside without a 2nd thought and was pretty mesmerized by the ambience! Since we were pretty hungry, we dodged a 4 or 5 course meal and went straight away for the mains! Ordered the following:- Palak paneer - Their palak paneer is their USP - pick of their items, homelier than home food. Also ordered Dal makhni, which was fine. Also went for a set of roasted papads as well as green salads and sliced onions (complimentary) for an enhanced gastronomic experience! For breads, we had Pudina naan, Kothmir naan as well as Pudina roti – all were pretty nice! At the last, we ordered the dish which Hyderabad is famous for - Hyderabadi Biryani – which was served with raita and salan, but unfortunately failed to tickle our taste buds - lacking the typical biryani taste / masala – this was a basic pulao with vegetables! Expected biryani to be much better than this as this is the land of biryani - rest, everything was just perfect! Excellent service, good quantity and quality at reasonable prices are the other feathers in the cap of this restaurant! Was so happy with this place - ordered Tandoori rotis and palak paneer again next day for dinner. Cheers!
