We had booked a table for 2 people in advance through Zomato, we ordered Jameson full bottle, the restaurant person charged bill Rs 12500 , we asked restaurant people but in Zomato menu full bottle rate is 7500 , the restaurant people gave very rude answer the Zomato people not updated menu , that is your problem , must pay 12500 , I will pay 12500

We visited By The Bay restaurant at Necklace Road through Zomato. While paying the bill, we noticed that the restaurant was not accepting the Zomato offer and made us pay the full amount. Later, the restaurant claimed that they had displayed a notice saying Zomato offers are not valid, but the notice was not clearly visible to customers. If the offer is actually not applicable at the restaurant, then why is Zomato still showing cashback/payment offers for this location while paying the bill? Also, if the restaurant is not accepting Zomato payment benefits properly, can customers still reserve tables through Zomato for this restaurant? At the very least, misleading cashback/payment offers should be removed from the app for this location to avoid confusion and inconvenience for customers. I request Zomato to please look into this issue seriously and take appropriate action.

The food was great but the service was totally disappointing. Me and my Friend had visited here in the afternoon so there were not many people in the cafe, but still the waiters seemed to be ignorant and disinterested while talking to us. And the main point to be noted is that the prices shown in the menu online are totally misleading and the actual prices of each dish is at least 300 ₹expensive. I mean, if you are going to charge us more then at least be transparent about it. We were asked to mandatorily pay the 7% service charge on our total bill to avail the 50% off discount from the district app. No other cafe insists the people to pay the service tax as it is optional and i'd love to tip the waiter if I find the service good but why would I pay for someone who is not professional and rude to their customers.

Service was not too good. Some complete strangers got drunk at the table behind us and started bothering us. They came to us and offered us drinks when we didn’t want to take any drink from them. They were drunk and started persuading us, even touching us. All the while we kept calling the servers for help and they temporarily asked them to not bother us but we saw them take 500 rupee notes from the people at that table. After all that we still paid service charges because the server had asked us to not cut the service charges at the very beginning, stating that everything was 50% off. I regret paying the service charges. Bad review hence.
