visited Taj Falaknuma few years back and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I had never seen so many peacocks in one place, freely roaming the palace grounds. Dining at the Gold Bungalow was a unique and luxurious experience that I’ll never forget. The ambiance was stunning and made us feel like royalty. The service was too good and attentive staff who full filled our every need. The food flavors have rich and diverse, reflecting the culinary heritage. The elegant table settings to the Sufi music that added to the enchanting atmosphere, everything was perfect. Dining at Taj Falaknuma was not just a meal, but a journey back in time. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a special and unforgettable dining experience.

This is by far one of the best dining experience I have ever had. The cool breeze the mesmerizing view the sound of the sufi music playing live next to you. And the most important part is the food, the butt chicken was the best I have eaten in a long time the nali nehari and the white Hyderabadi biryani was so flavorful that I would definitely go back for some more. Also the palak paneer was moist and so green and tasty. My absolute favorite was the Akbari paratha stuffed with dryfruits. This is a must go to place for a special occasion. After this Covid I feel every day is a special occasion.

A delightful first-time family dinner, highlighted by an extraordinary ambience, a diverse menu catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates, and must-try biriyani and desserts. 😋 The live Qawwall performance was exceptional, adding a unique and culturally rich dimension to the evening. Our waiter's humble and kind service further contributed to the positive experience. 👌🏼 Overall Rating: Ambience - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Service - 4/5

We went for Dinner at the Gol Bungalow. I must say that this place is perfect to celebrate some special occasion like a 'birthday' or 'anniversary' - The ambiance and the view of the city from this place is amazing. All the preparations (except for the deserts) were amazing. Moreover, the Qawwali performances at this place adds to the amazing ambiance and experience.

Awesome place. Royal treatment . Couldn’t have asked for more . Though a bit pricey it’s worth it for ultra special occasions. We had the 7 course meal at Gol Bunglow. The non vegetarian fare is too good . Veg is avg..I would have given 5 rating had it been good for veg.. there is also a palace tour complimentary with dinner. Overall the best restaurant at Hyd

Honestly, the Falaknuma palace was bit of a let down. It was not as grand or regal as I expected it to be. After visiting some of the other palaces in the country, this place felt rather ordinary. Coming to the restaurant Gol Bungalow, again a let down in terms of the ambience. The food was good though (except for the biriyani). Loved the Haleem and starters. The qawalli performance was the highlight for me. Loved it! To sum it up , the overall experience doesn’t justify the price.

We booked the 6 course set menu dinner at gol bunglow which included 30 minutes of palace tour and live sufi/qawali performance during dinner. The tour did not start on time, the narration was irritating as the person describing had a robot like tone. And either because we have been to many palaces and museums or if it was my high expectations but I wasn’t too impressed with the palace tour. Felt they showed very little of the palace. Some of the rooms we had been to got really hot and sweaty especially because you are with a large group of other people. We had an elderly person with us who needed an elevator, by the time they took him to the elevator and he rejoined the tour upstairs half the tour was done. Pathetic service that was as no one guided us properly. I really wish the tour was divided into smaller sections of people so all the guests had some attention. The outdoors of the palace were impressive with well maintained lawns. The best part was the spectacular view of the city you get from gol banglow as it is a semi-outdoor place. The tablescaping was beautifully done with fresh flowers. This plus the cool whiff of air, soft music and the dim flattering lighting was very relaxing indeed. Each of us had a choice of opting for either Indian or Italian cuisine (veg or non veg) and stick to it for all courses. Except for one of us the rest chose Indian. Marag and haleem were both delicious and so was the ginger ale with rose flavor. Some of the starters like paneer, fish and prawns were great. Main course was okay but desserts were disastrous for me. Biryani was abysmal! The salan came to the table after I completed the biryani with raitha. Even if it did arrive early it wouldn’t have saved the biryani. Being ramadan season the desserts included jouzi halwa, sabudana kheer, rose Icecream and one other. The Italian desserts were good and in general the Italian food looked more appetising. The lobster ravioli was phenomenal! They included a complimentary chocolate cake as we were celebrating a birthday and that was delectable. Palace tour 4/10 Food 7/10 - (some dishes were great and some really bad) Service 8/10 Ambience 9/10 Qawali - 10/10 - the performance was so lively and they would sing anything you requested for. The dinner pricing has gone up so much that I didn’t feel the meal here was worth it. All the reviews I read definitely raised my expectations very high but the experience did not live up to it.

I am from Hyderabad. Very bad Biryani. Meat is of very good quality but doesn’t taste good. Awesome ambience and Qawwali. Good staff. But I would have preferred tastier food.
