I sadly missed out their Spot idlis due to unavailability but that’s something that’ll make me visit them once again for sure. A big Hi-5 to Govind Dosas. I was in love with their Govind Special Dosa. I usually don’t like to eat whole tomatoes in food but here I ate the whole tomato from Dosa in one go. how could I miss talking about their Vadas. I mean they were not hot but definitely crispy. That’s not something usual. Last thing I would like to talk about is their Chutney. Not super thick and not watery. It was made to perfection. This place should be in everyone’s wishlist whenever they visit Hyderabad.

Super joint for a quick snack in the morning. Must do for those travelling to Hyderabad. Very close to Charminar but you will see lot of crowd around it

The best time to visit Charminar is early morning or late night. One such early morning excursion took us to Charminar at 6:00AM. This places opens officially by 6:30 but you can still get some grub by 6:15AM. Tried the famed spot idli which is cooked on the hot plate. Very different from the usual idli you get elsewhere but overpriced for 100 bucks for 4 idlis. It tastes yum though. The vadas are also much smaller than what you would find at other places but crisp and tasty nonetheless. The dosas taste good too and just about any dosa. The place also recommends butter idli but we were full. Nice place for South Indian fare but by any stretch of imagination, it's expensive for a road side eatery. With a slight increased price from what you pay there you could have similar food at any known South Indian joints like Chutneys or Minerva and in a much more hygienic and sophisticated environ.

We came here for breakfast around 9:30am and we loved our experience. Very very close to the charminar, it's serving up some fresh and lipsmacking breakfast. We tried their mysore bajji, YUM! 5/5 must try. We also tried their tawa fry karam idli, which was good. Their karam masala dosa was great too , had upma inside and so delicious. Definitely worth visiting.

This is a hidden gem in the crowded streets near legendary Charminar. I went on a Sunday morning at around 7:15 am and there was less rush. I had the special dosa and vada and both tasted awesome. A must try street food place in Hyderabad.

After months and months of planning and replanning, we finally found time to visit the legendary Govind Bandi near charminar. And the experience was a mix of highs and lows. First talking about the good points, they have an elaborate menu, customizable to your taste. Now coming to the downside. The waiting time is really long. For idli and wada it is ok as these are readily available but for dosas it all depends on your luck. For instance while we had to wait almost 20 minutes for a dosa, still some other customers got there's really quick. Cleanliness is also an issue. Now I understand we should not expect much from a food bandi but an idli stand plate fell to the ground right in front of us and it was used again without cleaning properly. Having said that, the ambience was still nice with families, large groups turning out to taste the hot hot dosas. And the dosa was indeed good. Idli was soft and nice but priced at ₹40 it is pricey as other places across Hyderabad it is usually not more than ₹30. The dosa priced at ₹50 is worth the price for its butterly taste, upma filling and amazing flavors. Please SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel "tj'stravel&food" for detailed video review. Disappointing they have completely send me a different order. Everything in my order differed frm what i have ordered worstest plc . Didn’t even respond tooo bad . Low quality

very bad quality place and food , overrated tiffin center. The prices are very high, for that price quantity and quality is not at all appropriate.

Earlier use to come here but now ordering the food from grand idly because at very cheap price best food available there
