After 39 orders! This is the review after 40th order! Earlier I had given 3 star points but now giving 5 stars wholeheartedly! The reasons are 👇 This is my mere edited version after subjected to vast 3+years experience with"megacity"!... The pivotal points of my review are mentioned below: 1. As" I am pure vegetarian" I don't know much about non veg kinda stuff in this hotel, but this is the best hotel offering veg biryani(better than paradise and best of all;) to this affordable price... 2. Smacking taste of veg biryani not only in weekends but also in working days! They rectified the glitch and amended in perfection. 3. it's par excellence! Addicted to the veg biryani especially!.... Suggesting you to increase the price of veg biryani to 210!... It is much delectable and drooling recipe very much tastier than paradise and all other restaurants who offer veg biryani... Every one will sheerly get addict to it like a "drug"! It has that potent in it.... Hike the price to 210 and let chef be benefited out from it.. "Best ever only veg biryani in hyderabad"with mouth watering taste👅👅👅!... Giving 5 out of 5! 4. Everyone must and should taste it before dying dudes!... For veggies and vegetarians this is one of the best veg biryani with modest price... Offered by this hotel foodies!... Don't miss this relish!

Continuing my quest to relive the classic bar food experience which i enjoyed in my teenage, tonight was at the iconic Megha City bar and restaurant in basheerbagh of hyderbad. the place is synonymous to sambar rice, and what they serve is one of the best in hyderabad. some say they are the pioneers of sambar rice and i must agree. Such is the demand for food at this outlet, that there is a waiting time of 45+ min to be seated on a weekend. i waited for an hour to get a table. the place has separate smoking and non smoking sections, the non smoking section is filled with families and they get priority in being seated. some of the best dishes that are default order for regular patrons are whole fried murrel fish, mutton chops, mutton roast, kheema and sambar rice. we had: mutton chops: delectable, spicy, well cooked. star of the day mutton roast: my favourite, it takes an acquired taste to appreciate this dish. deep fried nuggets of mutton with a slightly burnt crust with succulent meat on the inside, the burnt taste is what deters many from enjoying this dish. chicken vepudu: MEH - no one at the table liked this dish. tawa fish fry: boneless fillets of murrrel fried on a tawa, very spicy and a fantastic accompaniment to whisky or beer mutton fry: a run of the mill dish with decent flavours and succulent cubes of meat. Sambar Rice: this is the one dish that keeps this place a buzz, families come here just to eat sambar rice, the sambar and rice proportion is just right, spicy, with a hint of turmeric which is distinct. a very filling dish served with ghee and pickle on the side. best when paired with an omelet.

It is funny how a simple mistake can create a legendary dish. Shahuji the marathi ruler in place of kokum added tamarind to the lentil curry by mistake and revolutionalized the entire south indian cuisine with the dish we call today sambar. In these 300 years sambar has become such an important part of our lives. From being an accompaniment to sometimes being the show stopper we have utilized its unique taste and flavour in more ways than anybody can imagine. Megha city though has an extensive menu the dish that stands out here is sambar rice. If there is a place that does justice to the vibrant history of the dish it is this place. The sambar is perfectly tangy, the sweetness and spice being balanced to perfection and the add on ghee takes the dish to another level. Nothing gives me more joy than a plate of sambar rice with butter toasted papad. I prefer takeaway or delivery because there is always a long waiting time and they dont take reservations. It would have been 5 stars if the place had a larger seating area and better ventialtion.

Some restaurants will be good for vegeterians and some for Non vegeterians but only few will have both cuisines with good taste this is one of them When comes to food Chicken and mutton biryanis are awsome for vegetarian Sambar rice and curd rice are good. Reasonable prices with good atmosphere to spend some time in a restaurant

The restaurant here doesn't have many tables for seating. So the wait time may be more. The food was pretty good. Chicken 65 and Egg Manchurian were tasty. Phulka could be avoided here. Roti was good though. Pricing was decent. Service was good.

I have some great memories associated with this place,My late uncle had introduced us to this joint,and we all love the food here,authentic south Indian food,I love there grills ,curries and starters.

Earlier given 4 stars but now giving only 1 star! Noted some nuance and come to a conclusion that this veg biryani is shifting in hands by more than 1 chef!... In some days it is quite good and other days it is an average with mediocre relish! Stringently observed throughout the days in a week!... It's not the restaurant fault it's the concocted medleys of the finess in the hands of the chef in toto!
