Based on glowing ratings and feedback, ILLLU had been on my wishlist for a while. Today, wanting to treat my visiting NRI uncle to an authentic Andhra Bhojanam, we decided to give it a try. ​While the ambience was pleasant, the overall experience fell somewhat short of the high expectations set by the price point and hype. ​Food Review: We opted for the Vegetarian Thalis. The overall spread was average, with a few notable highlights: ​Majjiga Pulusu, Pachi Pulusu, & Ulavacharu (5/5): Absolutely delicious and the standout elements of the meal. ​Dondakaya Fry & Mix Veg Fry (4/5): Well-prepared and enjoyable. ​Pulihora (1/5): As a huge Pulihora enthusiast, this was a major disappointment—it lacked the traditional flavor profile entirely. ​Dessert: The Semiya/Chakkara Pongali felt quite ordinary and lacked the richness expected in a premium thali. ​Service & Operations: While the food had its pros and cons, the hospitality and logistics were the main letdowns: ​Rushed Dining Experience: The waitstaff appeared overly eager to turn tables. Plates were cleared hastily while we were still finishing—my uncle’s plate was cleared immediately after his curd rice before he even had a chance to ask for anything else. Right after, the server reminded us that guests were waiting outside, making us feel rushed out the door. While managing peak-hour rush is important, basic dining courtesy shouldn't be compromised. ​Valet Delay: The rush inside didn't translate to smooth management outside—we ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes at valet just to retrieve our car. ​Verdict: Good ambience and traditional gravies, but the rushed table service, valet delay, and inconsistent food quality don't quite align with the premium pricing. ​I shared this feedback directly with the owner before leaving and hope they take it constructively to improve basic guest courtesies and operational flow.

Bad food, terrible service, and horrible parking experience. We ordered chicken and it was mixed with prawns—completely unacceptable and felt like leftover food. Management’s response was pathetic. The valet service was equally bad—we waited over 30 minutes to get our car back, with no proper response or accountability. Highly NOT recommended, especially for families and weekend visits. Avoid this place!
