This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. Before arriving, we called the restaurant and were told we could come over and be seated. However, after reaching there, we had to wait for over 50 minutes for a table. Once we were finally seated, the service continued to be disappointing. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed, we had to repeatedly ask for basic things, and our food took a long time to arrive. The most concerning part of the experience was a serious food safety issue. While eating one of the curries, I found a small metal wire, similar to the bristles from a utensil scrubber, in the food. It got lodged in my gum, and the area is still sore even after leaving the restaurant. This is something no customer should ever have to experience. To their credit, the chef personally came over, apologized, and acknowledged the mistake. The manager also waived the entire bill, which I appreciate. They handled the situation professionally once it was brought to their attention. However, a complimentary meal cannot make up for a serious lapse in food safety. Finding metal in a dish is unacceptable, and I sincerely hope the restaurant reviews its kitchen processes and quality control to ensure this never happens to anyone else. I’ve attached a photo of the metal wire that was found in the curry.
