One of the go to places for Hyderabadi style food. one of the best Marag soup, wonderful biryani and salan. Pushpa chops is super tasty, although pricey. Could have had more dessert and drinks options. Service is amazing, staff is super friendly. Special 9 always makes you feel special.

Chicken kebabs and Biryani are very good. A good and proper hyderabadi dum biryani. Didn’t try the mutton chops but they are must try. Service was quick and professional too.

Food is good. Liked both chicken keka and mutton maragh. Cheese balls were not good at all. The service and ambience were not good. They took almost 30 minutes to get the order

The worst prawns biryani i ever had, prawns are in the size of shirt button and rice is kinda watery. fish starter is also not good. chicken/mutton was good.

I am sharing this review based on my recent experience at Special 9 Restaurant, particularly concerning the service provided by two staff members, Suresh and Sujan. My manager, colleagues, and I have been regular customers and have visited this restaurant approximately five times. During our initial visits, the food quality was very good, which is why we continued to choose this restaurant whenever we planned to dine out. However, over time, we have observed a decline in food quality. On our most recent visit, we ordered Mutton Marag Soup, Mutton Dum Biryani, and Bheemavaram Kodi Pulao. The soup was satisfactory. Unfortunately, the Mutton Dum Biryani was extremely soggy and watery, and the Bheemavaram Kodi Pulao rice was hard, with the chicken pieces not properly cooked. When we raised these concerns with the restaurant managers, Suresh and Sujan, the response was disappointing. The manner in which they communicated lacked professionalism and politeness. Their immediate focus was on offering item deletion or discounts rather than addressing the issue respectfully. I would like to clarify that not all customer complaints are made to receive discounts. Customers primarily expect consistent food quality and courteous communication. I strongly recommend that the management focus on improving food consistency and staff behavior, especially in terms of polite and professional interaction with guests.

I have been there 2-3 times before. Mutton marag was tasty as it was before. but the major issue i experienced is the service quality. it was way too crowded and the way they are serving is pathetic. the cool drink I ordered is not cold enough and it doesn't has the gas. After I finished starters they served marag later sometime they served biryani then they served salad to the table. and While finishing biryani they served Raita and salan.

Firstly they are not accepting payments and bookings from Zomato. If you are going for this restaurant then you are scammed. Check all the reviews not only the paid ones. Food is not great and it's not hot at all. We ordered almost 7 varieties of dishes. Mutton biryani was worse.
